Bra fitting help » Is myband too small, pulling the wire back too far?

Issue resolved
will try with an extender while it breaks in and see how it goes
Original problem
Have worn 34H for many years, 2x recent fittings have told me to go down a back size so this is a 32HH. I am even top to bottom but full in the middle so I always gap in the upper outer quadrant, I am close set so one wire always twists out sooner or later but the other usually stays tacked in Bravissimo brand and I occasionally quad boob in the middle. My concern with this bra is whether the band is too tight causing the wire to be pulled back about 1/2 an inch wider/ lower than in the 34H (I have the blue bra in the 34H pictures)and whether then the wires are too wide for me, and the bra will not last as long before the wires pop? Thank you wise ladies for your advice. (grey dot under arm is where 34H wire goes

helpfulIt's definitely leaning further back in this size, as you've noticed, but this doesn't always mean there is a problem. Some bras have very bendy underwires and it doesn't take much to pull them out and back. Whether this means the band is too tight is not easy to determine from how it looks though. Which size was more comfortable in terms of how it felt on your body? I think that is truly the best indicator. Also, on what grounds were you told to switch to a 32 band? Was the 34 riding up, failing to provide support/uplift, causing pain, etc.? Or was this perhaps a case of overly officious fitters determined to put you in the firmest possible band regardless of what had been working for you previously?

In that case, if you're not experiencing any problems from the 34, then I would stick to that.

It looks like a pretty good fit to me, so I agree with the previous commenters in that this is going to be an issue of what's most comfortable for you. If the 34 band wasn't riding up and you were happy with the shape and support you got, stick with it!
One compromise option, if you're happy with the fit of the 32 band, is to use an extender while the bra breaks in (or even after). I usually wear my Cleo bras with just one extra column of hooks to get the right band tension. Bands come in 2 inch increments but humans don't!

Wires going pop is also a reflection of their poor quality, try another brand
Thank you wendybien, I am definitely more aware of the 32 but not painfully so, just tighter. having been aware for the last few days, the 34 does settle a bit higher on my back where the 32 stays lower, but the 34 does settle, it doesn't keep riding up once its found its home, and I could fit my fingers in under the wire in front quite easily.I wouldn't trust the Leia fitter who was just after a sale but the Bravissimo fitter did check the back and suggest the 32 which she felt was better but we didn't really look where the wire went! The day I noticed the wires further back I had been messing with the bra a bit during the day so maybe it was a bit uncomfy??
