Bra fitting help » Moulin Rose too big - what smaller size?

Issue resolved
I shrunk even more, but found the Panache Masquerade Delphi Balconnet Bra was *the perfect* foil to my less than ideal boobs.
Original problem
I LOVE this bra, when it fits. Unfortunately I've now lost just over 2 stone (13kg) as well as being pregnant and a miscarriage at 11 weeks, so my boobs are rather deflated/hanging sock appearance now, as well as the band on this being a bit too big. I know this style isn't made any more (sob), so have been recommended the Buttercup, Fanciful or Hearts Amore styles by Bravissimo for the lovely wentchy shelf look I so LOVE. But I'm stumped on what size to go for now - I live in Australia and have recently spent over $100 sending bras back and forth from Bravissimo, and all the local bra shops don't have anything big/tight enough for me to try on, so hope you guys can help! Whilst my measurements suggest a 34 back, I find a 34 quite loose always, as I'm rather squidgy it seems around my band area.
I was thinking of a 32 back (I know this is quite an old bra, but I've only worn it for the past 3 months really as it was in storage before that), but don't know where to go with the cups - I have recently got a 32H in the Mademoiselle (Bravissimo) bra, which I feel fits, but very much flattens my boobs due to the style (the wires go so far around my sides/back!) - the 32G gave me quad boobs once I scooped, but I've lost a few kgs since then; a 32H in a Patsy Half Cup bra (ok fit, but I find Freya are cut a bit weird for me on the back, leading to a bit of bulge no matter how much scooping I do - the 32G gave me quad boobs, but I've lost a few more kgs since then - to be honest the 32G would probably be a better fit than the 32H now); a 32GG in a Bravissimo Dotty Spotty (good fit, but slightly pointy shape - am hoping to alter it) and a 32H in a Flutter Me Bra (Good on the band HUGE on the cups so went back as couldn't be hassled with more tweaking via post). The best I've recently gotten is a 36G(the only thing that was anywhere near fitting on the cups in a local shop) in a Parfait by Affinitas, Charlotte Padded Bra 6901 - this is a bit big on the back (I plan on taking it in a bit on the band), but the cups are a nice fit, if not va-va-voom (ie I could go more wentchy). One thing about this is it has a nice fat back strap - I find the Freyas (for eg) have such a narrow back strap that it doesn't really give the hoicking support I want/need I feel, and I just feel more comfy in a wider back strap, which this has.
So I want a wentchy, shelfy style and need to know what size, that gives my poor girls a much needed hoik up to higher heights (age is not kind!) and shows off my tiny waist rather than sagging down to merge into one
Sorry for the essay - I am SO over trying to find a bra that makes me look good, but need to for many many reasons. Cheers if you can help!

helpfulFirst: sorry for your loss.
As to cup size, I'm really not confident enough to make recommendations, but if you like the regency cleavage/cakes on a platter look, I'd investigate Masquerade Antoinette (the older, now discontinued, model is more narrow and more projected than the newer incarnation; but obviously more difficult to track down), Delphi (hard to find now), Rhea (but it's very, very shallow at the bottom of the cup), Angie ... and also perhaps the Fauve padded half-cups?
For shopping in Aus, have you considered Melbourne's Brava? They charge postage, which isn't ideal, but they're also extremely helpful in ordering things in for you.
Or else perhaps look into ordering a Cleo Lucy in a couple of band/cup size combinations from zodee.com.au, who do offer free shipping and returns. That should help you nail down your current size, and then you'll be able to shop for the half-cup cuts from elsewhere with a little more confidence and (hopefully) a little less return shipping?

helpfulHi, so sorry for your loss.
I am looking forward to hearing the outcome of this as we are practically the same size. I went to try on Buttercup today but they didnt have them in store in either 32H or HH. 34s are a little loose on me amd when the bra stretches out it becomes an issue so I have decided to go 32. With Bravissimo balconettes I wear 32HH but in Cleo Marcie an dmost panache I am 32H

Thank you, on both counts :)
This is super helpful, its helped make up my mind on the 32 vs 34 issue going on in my head - you're totally right about the stretching out, and I find that really only takes a couple of weeks of wearing it in rotation with other bras, so not long enough for me to not make it a factor.
If you manage to get back to Bravissimo at all and get to try on the Buttercup in the right size (or can take a minute to try on the Hearts Amore or Fanciful one lol) I would super appreciate an update on the fit :D
I will update this thread when I sort my life out and get a new bra or two :)
Thanks once again for the comment, super appreciate it :)

I have tried and failed to get my hands on a fanciful and hearts amour in store before but am considering ordering buttercup online just to see whether it fits! (this is pretty drastic for me as I live 10 miles from a good Bravissimo store!). I have tried the rococo charm (beautiful bra but wires too wide for me and excess material at the side) and tropical one (same fit as rococo)so would love to try this other style.
I do use an extender for the 32s initially as I like the narrow wires and do worry about stretching the wire out initially.

I went with a Cleo Marcie in a 32H, and the cup is a bit too big really - although, once again, I feel like I've probably lost a bit of boob volume once again (another couple of kilos down from 2 weeks ago...grrr). It does fit well other than empty space at the top of the cup, and it looks nice under clothes so a bit of a win. Awaiting a few bras I've ordered to come to see if I can get anything better :)

I wouldn't grrrr at losing weight! You are doing so well!!! Shame the marcie is too big, what have you ordered?
-
LOL - I know I shouldn't complain at the losing weight - it needs to come off and its been a long long struggle to get to this point (I'm now the lightest I've been for over 10 years!), but its annoying when you can't just nip to the shops to get a bra that fits you so nothing fits lol. The Marcie isn't that bad once I've done a full on scoop/sweep, but will need just a bit of taking in at the top - luckily I used to make costumes for a living, so am handy with the sewing machine :)
I've got another Parfait Charlotte coming, in a 34G this time (the 36G is too big in the cup now and I've had to safety pin the central gore a lot closer together to make it fit ok for now), but I could only get full priced (ie over $100) of other styles, so will wait until I've lost a bit more and see what I even out to - I'm predicting somewhere around an F cup (hopefully!) but we will see :)

Thank you heaps :)
Super helpful help, exactly what I was hoping for from here - I'm amazed at the number of bra sellers that just have no idea of which bras give a similar fit/style/finish, which tbh I would thought is fairly important personally, but there you go! Rhea actually sounds good I think - as my boobs are so deflated from what they were now, a shallow bottom of cup might push it all up to where it used to be in a heaving bosom manner lol :D
And thank you SO MUCH for the Australian retailers suggestions - I was a bit at sea there (and want to weep every time I venture into Bras N Things or Big W's 'new bigger cup, smaller back' range - don't get me started!)
Hurrah - back on the bra hunt with renewed vigor, not dread and fear! :D Many thanks - will report back when I manage to get sorted :)
