Bra fitting help » Can't fill bottom, underwire digging into ribs high-set, close-set, fob boobs
Fantasie » Savannah Side Support Plunge Bra (2152) » 32GG 32:10
Issue resolved
I learned that this bra was likely 1 size too big and that I have a projected shape.
As a result, I think my size is 32g. When searching for a style that matches my shape, I will search for similar width cups, narrow gores, and bras that are compatible for high-set, projected breasts.
So far, I think I really like Fantasie. The bra is comfortable, cute, and I love the padded underwire channels. I also like Freya for undwire length, and width, but not sure if they typically have enough depth for projected shapes.
Thanks for all information and advice!
Original problem
Am I wearing the wrong size or just the wrong "cut"? Any suggestions of what has worked for others?
I've been reading a lot about different boob shapes. I think I have very close set, high set, full on bottom, soft tissue, wide root, round boobs.
Every bra always feels like the underwires are digging into my ribs. I noticed they all have wrinkles at the bottom of the cup where it looks like I don't completely fill the cup. Is this because of my short torso/ high-set boobs?
This bra is has the least wrinkling of any of my others. Cleo Lucy (30H) is one of the worst offenders; I have 1-2 finger widths that I can't fill on the bottom.
This bra is also the best in terms of cup width and underwire length. I think both are near perferct. The Cleo Lucy (30H) is too wide and too long.
I've tried to troubleshoot on my own, and this bra is the closest I've come to finding a good fit. Any help or info you can give me is much needed and appreciated!

helpfulIt looks too big for you (it's hard to tell because your arms aren't in the right position, it's easier to tell fit issues with your arms akimbo, but the cup looks too wide for you and too deep). I would try a different bra in a smaller size. It's hard to tell but you root doesn't look all that wide to me. Perhaps you'd do well in a Bravissimo Alana or something similar?

helpfulI don't think it's big, but it looks pointy, like the bra is moving all your tissue forvard and nothing stays on the sides. The wires also seem to be more round than your breast's contour (if you fit the bottom on the sides, the upper part of the wire will cut into your breast tissue besause it will be too narrow). Most of the bras have this kind of underwires so it's OK not to fill this section.

Thanks! I noticed it was super pointy. My breast tissue usually tends to want to migrate towards the center, so I don't know if this a good cut for me, but it is the most comfortable that I have. I added more pics of the side view to show a slight quad boob in the middle.

helpfulI'm very projected and this is what a well-made bra looks like on me when it is just 1 cup size too large. When the construction is solid and they've used nicer fabrics on the bra, you don't necessarily get the mad wrinkly appearance that would occur in a more flimsily made model. I agree with Jillsas that if you like this bra, it is worth giving the 32G a shot if you have not yet done so.

Thanks! What does it mean to be projected? I seem to either have massive quad boob that spills to the center or I get really bad wrinkling at the bottom. All bras that feel like the underwire is digging into my ribs. I haven't been able to figure out why..

Projected means your boobs "stick out" towards the front, probably more than on the average person.

Kinda the opposite of shallow? Is it related to cleavage? It is so hard for me to find a bra with the right amount of cleavage. Its either none or tons- which I wouldn't feel comfortable displaying.. Do you have any favorite bras for the projected shape?
-
Yes, shallow is the exact opposite of projected. All the bras currently listed under my name as "fitting" are good for my shape :-) Feel free to PM me if you want suggestions on where to find them.

Oh and I hope this will not come as too much of a blow but for me personally, being both projected and having a narrowish breast root (despite the rest of my boobs being quite ample) padded bras are my nemesis. I mean, I can find wearable ones, but it's extremely rare for their dimensions to match my own and there are always fit issues that mean it either doesn't feel great or doesn't look as good as the appearance I can achieve with a completely unpadded bra.

Thanks, I haven't tried a 32g yet, but I will. I was getting quad boob in smaller sizes, so I bought this from a member on here to try it out. I was so happy that I was finally making progress towards a better fitting bra! I added more pictures where I tried to get pictures of my arms akimbo :D
