Found different bra
Original problem
After wearing a 36C for several years and not being happy with the look of my breasts, I recently decided to find my true fit.
This bra feels perfect on me but I noticed quite a bit of side bulge and back fat after wearing it. I am fit, i exercise and lift heavy things. I measure 31",comfortably tight underbust and 37 to 37.5" bust. I have tried a 34D in a different bra brand which gapes at sides - a 32DD which wrinkles at the bottom of the cup. I cannot find any cup sizes larger than a DD where I live so I ordered this bra online. I feel like I finally found a good fit but the bulge makes me wonder if this is a good fit. Help!!

helpfulI don't see boob escaping, nor back fat. Are you talking about bulges that are elsewhere e.g. sides/armpit area?
Are the straps very tight? Sometimes women who've been wearing too-large bands for years are in the habit of tightening the straps as far as is physically possible. This can cause some bulges. Straps should be as loose as they can without falling off.
Also if you are petite, short-torsoed or have high set breasts sometimes a longline will not fit you well at the sides and back, as its band height will cause it to reach the area where your back/torso tapers wider to reach the shoulders.

OK, I see the photo. I'd say the band is a good fit for you at the underbust level but too tight for you at the top. I also love wider bands! You may find it easier to get a good fit in something that is 3 hooks instead of 6 like this.

helpfulI have to go up a cup size to avoid side bulge in Freya's longlines. Instead of my usual 30F, I wear 30FF in Freya's Piper Longline. That size was the correct one in that denim version they recently came out with, though I didn't buy it. For some reason, the Patsy Longline was too big in 30FF. If I'd wanted one to wear, I'd have ordered a 30F Patsy.

helpfulTry a bigger cup. The tissue under your arms should be in the cup.

helpfulIn my opinion the band is too tight for you. Since Freya-bands run large I would try a 32 and a 34 for normal running bands.
The cups seems to be way to small, I would go up at least two cup sizes. So I'd start with 32F/FF or 34E/F. Also the wires appear to be too narrow. Do you have a wide root in ypur opinion?
If you want to order other styles online Panache Envy or Jasmine could be a good choice for you. If you need wide wires and shallow cups the Freya halfcups are an option for example.Updated on September 22, 2014 Flag this

helpfulI have similar measurements to you and I wear a 32f in Freya Patsy and Deco. So I'd think you could start there.

wendybien Thanks for your comment.
Yes I am talking about sides and armpit area. I loosened the straps a bit and it improved but is still there. I definitely am used to tightening the straps as tight as possible. The back fat I am referring to is just above in the third photo where the strap meets the back band. I find a lot of bras have a back that is too thin so I opted for something thicker. I have @VictoriaSecret bra that has a wide back like this (4 columns) and I don't get the fat that is pushing up. I've uploaded another photo so you can see what I am saying but at the sides.
