Bra fitting help » How do you avoid looking wall-eyed with a big band/ small cup?
Panache » Tango Pure Underwire Balcony (3761) » 30JJ 30:14
Issue resolved
Gore alteration helped
Original problem
I really like this, or at least it is the best fit so far, but I could still use some more cup depth and less east/west
Is there a solution other than going polish? Is going polish even a solution?

helpfulGoing Polish is a solution if you need narrow wires. And it's an unfortunate truth that in the small band/large bust size range, it is often the only real solution.
However, if you just want to make a bra little less outward pointy and are happy with it otherwise, altering it to add a seam between the cups (narrowing the gore, but all the way down to the base of the triangle between the breasts) will pull the cups in, and makes the cups point a little more forward. The trouble here is that it also opens up the top of the cup a bit more, which might cause a new fit issue with gaping on the top of the cup. Given that you're fitting in a Tango, I'm guessing that you're probably a dominantly FoB shape.
Out of the UK, in the larger cup sizes I always found bravissimo's house brand the best scaled, but they aren't much narrower - their balconettes tend to have better depth, though, so they may be an improvement, even if the width in your size probably isn't much different.

helpfulWell, the hard reality of having a small band and large cup is that your boobs ARE quite a bit wider than your narrow little torso. So, it takes some seriously top-quality engineering to create a fit that will force them close enough to one another to reduce this contrast in width and "point" them forward instead of east-west as they want to go.
I think my biggest quibble with this bra here is that, while its depth measurement makes it seem like it is theoretically OK for you, its shape means that the depth offered is not at the right height for you. This is what's really exaggerating the natural east-west-ness instead of merely failing to moderate it. Your root looks just a bit taller than average for this size range and in this regard the Polish bra options may be a lot better for you--they are all about the "Cakes on a plate" cleavage meaning cups are open on top and you get more depth in the upper third of the cup.

helpfulI think you'll be much happier "going Polish," especially Ewa Michalak. One of her main goals is to keep your breasts within the size of your torso (aka not east/west).

helpfulI'm a sister size to you 32J ish and I would honestly say any bra will give you a better shape than this. I hated this bra, I had no uplift and east west like you. I have got on well with the Idina and Andorra from Panache, maybe it might work to sister and take in the band, and a lot of people seem to like the Jasmine which goes up to a K. I also get on well with Bravissimo own brand as well, particularly the Alana
