Issue resolved
I returned it.
Original problem
First of all, the band of this bra is way way way too big for me. I knew this while purchasing it and I plan to take it in.
Second of all, the straps don't adjust short enough, which is also something I could easily fix.
The gaping lace also very easy to fix.Now what I wonder about is the massive quad-boob. This is a size that usually is too big in the cups for me, buut since I read that they run shallow, I took a chance on not sizing down. There's a little empty fabric on the sides, it doesn't wrinkle, it's just not expanned to it's maximum, but I have very little side tissue, so this is not something I really worry about.
In front I fill out the satine-like part more than possible, and then spill over quite alot, but there's a lot of loose lace over the spillage. The gore is not even close at tacking.
Why do I get the wrinkles in front?
Should I try another cup size, try to alter this one, or just simply give up on this beauty since this model doesn't seem to work for me?

helpfulThe shape of this bra is wrong for you in two ways:
1. you may be more evenly spaced than you think, and this bra may be more for full on bottom types. this is why you're getting wrinkling in the front bottom.
2. you may need a bra that is narrower and more projected than this one. this is why you're getting wrinkling at the sides. My recommendations:
Ewa Michalak - you can custom order a bra right down to a 24 band. the bras are narrower and more projected than Cleo/Curvy Kate/Freya
Made in Preston - makes 26 bands.Updated on August 26, 2014 Flag this

helpfulVery relevant: This is not a regular bra! This is not a bra meant to be worn outside your house. The Tamara is a bedroom bra. The seam where the satin meets the lace is meant to hit you mid-nip. It's giving you so much extra coverage it looks about 2 cup sizes too big (maybe one) -- the band runs tight on this bra but the cups are TTS. The fact that you also have extra room on the sides is also indicating a too-big cup.
The muffintop effect of the loose lace portion is not an indication the cup is too small, it's just how the bra is designed, i think it's pretty dumb and you could take it in if you wanted to try wearing it outside your house

helpfulI hate to say it, because I can tell you love this bra, but... if you're spilling out of the bottom half of the cup, making the top half of the cup tighter is not going to help. It's way too shallow and small for you. Sorry!

actually, it could. this is a funnily designed bra, not meant for anything but bedroom wear, and this extreme in-cup quadboob is part of the design, weirdly enough. I actually think the cup is too big for her.

I see what you mean, but even if the lower part is way too tall for her and is actually intended to act as a sort of internal quarter cup with the apex of the breast sitting above it, I still don't see how the bra can work for her--do you? Neither sizing down nor altering the lace will address the fact that this lower section of the cup is too shallow for her. I mean if it's truly worn only in the boudoir, a non-tacking gore doesn't really matter, but if she wants to wear it as a normal bra, this is going to be uncomfortable.

I don't know, not sure if the pics are telling the whole story here....it's not really a shallow bra. It's also not a very comfortable bra! I agree she probably should not pursue it.

Actually, the cups on this are slightly too small. To say they are 1-2 cups too large is...well, kind of odd.
The wrinkles in the satin fabric coupled with the spillover at the top suggest there is not enough room in the bottom portion of the cup. What happens is the fabric will collapse and give the cup an indented look or wrinkles depending on the fabric content (foam would indent/collapse, fabric would wrinkle) while she is busting out of the top. So the muffin-top effect really is an indication that the cup is too small.
Something else to note, the horizontal seam is sitting just below her nipples. It is not sitting above them. You can see this in the first photo.
I would say the bra is sitting too low on Staaldrigstill. Also taking into account all 3 of her BP are 1.5 to almost 3 inches larger than the cup depth of this bra. Bedroom bra or not, a cup should be able to accommodate your HBP.
I think the reason the lace portion looks too large is because she's stretching it out with her nipples causing the rest of it to stand away from her chest. The center gore is also resting on top of her tissue, it needs to be properly scooped away. What she would need to do is either size up a cup or try to force her tissue to fit the shape of this bra...unfortunately the latter would result in pain from the underwires resting on breast tissue.
