Switched brands, smaller cup size.

I have no idea what size or brands to look for. Where should I go from here?

helpfulThese cups seem far too big, so it's hard to assess whether this shape will work for you. If the gore is digging, you could just try a band size up. I'd go down at least two cup sizes -- so maybe try a 46D next?

helpfulI tried Curvy Kate Dreamcatcher and Portia. Like you, the gores on both of them pushed too much on my sternum. Unlike you, for me the cups fit, I had to shorten the straps a lot and the wires dug into my underarm flab. I also felt like my breasts would fall out if I bent over to do anything. I just figured it wasn't the right style or cut of bra for me and gave up on them. I was really bummed because I wanted them to work.
For you, I'd try what KristineR suggested - down in cups (I'd say 2-3 cups sizes smaller judging by the amount of extra fabric in the pictures), maybe up (1 size) in band as long as it still is snug enough to give enough support. I just figured that the bra was designed more for people with sunken sternums since it was so incredibly tight.

The gore often digs if the cup is way too big--it simply reaches too far up on the sternum. 44DD could also be a good size to try, and if the band feels too tight etc. then sister size to 46D.
