Issue resolved
Not sure whether or not a 30E (or 28F) will work for me but it's my best bet. Think I'll try it out. Thanks.
Edit: Just wanted to tell you guys that a 30E DID fit!
Original problem
I really, really love this bra (gosh, the colors are divine!), but unfortunately, this size doesn't seem like the right one for me... I'm wondering what you think instinctively seeing this on me? I could do with the wires being narrower, and I could probably use a smaller band, hmm... I didn't experience gaping in this but it shows in one picture that there's room for more expansion so to speak. Do you think a 30E or 28F would work for me in this or should I just scrap the idea altogether?

helpfulI personally would scrap the idea. To me, it looks like the fit is almost right so if you go down a cup size there's a good chance it'll be too small. If it's obviously too big, then yeah I'd say try a cup size down for sure, but in this case I wouldn't bother (I'm speaking from personal experience). Of course the only way to really know is to try, but that's up to you.

helpfulI think it has great potential on you in one or maybe two cups down.

Feels great to hear, I wanna hear from more people though :) I think two cups would be too much, IF it will work in another size I think 1 cup down would be what's needed. I wonder if this runs big in the cups... The measurements seems to indicate so (mine measured 26 cm in depth where as I usually take something between 23 and 24.5)

helpfulMy first thought was that I think this looks good! That being said I can't really see the excess room you said you feel. I think a cupsize down in that case would be a good idea, but in the future to look for narrower wires if you feel your tissue does not extend that far to the sides. Hope that helps!

helpfulI think one cup down would be worth a try with free shipping and returns, but I think this is going to never be what you would want.

helpfulThe fit actually looks great. You could potentially try a 28FF or a 28G if the band is too big.
If you want narrower wires, try Freya or Ewa Michalak bras instead.

helpfulCurvy Kate is hard to fit. It looks like the straps may be too far apart for your body type. A common problem for me as well. You put on your fit issues that the band rides up but I couldn't really see that on your pics. The wrinkling on the side pic almost looks like you pulled your straps too tight, but it may be because you pulled them closer in since they are so wide on you.
Try readjusting your straps to straight front to back instead of sloping to your neck and then see how the cups lay.
