Issue resolved
Decided bra is too shallow.
Original problem
This is my first real bra, so compared to what I've been wearing it feels really good. But there's some space underneath my boobs in each cup (ie my boobs don't completely fill out the bottom of the cups). Boobs fill out the tops of the cups okay unless I squeeze my arms together like I'm hugging myself (sorry I couldn't get a pic of this). I thought I was a shallow shape because my boobs look smaller than I really am. Does this mean I'm more projected? What about full on bottom vs. full on top? I'm just really confused and appreciate any help/advice you can give me!

helpfulIt's not the worst fit I've ever seen, but I definitely think you can find a better one. Just because you have a shallow shape, that doesn't mean that every single shallow bra will work Also, there are degrees of shallowness. It looks like you do have a fairly full shape on the inner half of your breasts (closest to the center of your chest, cleavage area if that makes sense) so many shallow bras may cut in here a little, because they're not constructed to allow a lot of space there. It's likely you need a bit more depth at the bottom of the cups compared to what this bra provides.
I would try on a good variety of different seamed, unpadded cup bras if you can--at Nordstrom's for example, if you have one that is accessible. You don't have to buy those styles if you are really attached to wearing something padded (I realize lots of people are) but you will at least be able to see what's going on inside the cups! Once you get a sense of what kind of volume you need in what part of the cup, you'll see what to look for in a bra.
This being said, you're also wearing the Neve a little low, so if you can scoop and swoop and get the wires more snugly in the underboob crease, so the bra sits higher on your torso, you may find that this helps the fit and that it becomes wearable, if not absolutely ideal.

That bra fits me the same way. Too tall and wide cups.

helpfulIf there is space in the bottom of the cup, it could actually be that the bottom is too narrow for the base of your breast. As a result, your breast may be forced higher up toward the middle of the cup, where there is more room. I have relatively shallow breasts but found this to be the case with a bra I ordered recently. Going up a cup size may help, or a different style may be the answer. I agree that trying on different styles (e.g. at a store like Nordstrom) would help you figure out what styles work best for you. Good luck!

helpfulFor what it's worth, I find that I simply cannot get a great fit in molded bras - there's always extra space because I'm FOB and my breasts are stronger than the foam! I was a committed molded cup wearer until I found out how much more comfortable unlined bras are. The thing with molded cups is you have to find something that is already the natural shape of your breasts, or put up with fit issues like this. I couldn't do either so I gave up. You might have better luck.

Thanks, I tried this! Now the top of the cups gape, as if the bra is too high for my boobs. There's no Nordstrom's near me; closest one is about 1 1/2 hours away. Until I can find the time to make the trip, I'm stuck to online buying and returning and buying again!
