Issue resolved
Too scared to try the alterations myself, but somehow the situation seems to have resolved slightly on its own? I wear it on the last hook and only when I want a little cleavage.
Original problem
I so very want to adore this bra. It's the second EM I've tried and it's so pretty, but it gives such a bizarre shape.
My breasts look flattened and droopy and weird. Thinking I could solve the problem, I've tightened the straps as much as I can without getting shoulder pain from them (and these straps are SO STRETCHY. It's ridiculous.) and I'm still getting this flat look.
I'm quadding on top and wrinkling near the gore. The gore digs in and hurts like h-e-double-hockey-sticks sometimes and without much warning.
I think the bra is too small... ? I tried a 90G before in a different style and that was huge on me.
Help! I'm getting super frustrated! (You'll see why when I get a chance to post the other six I've been sitting on.)

helpfulI didn't notice the top of the cups cutting in at first but they do in the center of the cups and toward the middle part of the cups.
I did notice the wires on the sides go back really far, which is okay if you have a wide root.
I think the bra is too short and wide for you. The straps are too wide set for you that's why tightening them doesn't help the fit. The center gore also looks like it's on your breast tissue(too wide).
If the straps and gore were altered (made more narrow) the bra would work on you.
The bra doesn't look too small on you, I think that's it's just the straps and the center gore are too wide for you. I have that problem all the time. I wish I could help more.

Yourlovealive that's a good idea. :)

That's actually a really good idea. I think I'll try that, although I confess to sort of hoping it won't help because I'm terrified of slaughtering such a beautiful bra with my shoddy seeing skills :P

It's actually super easy. Takes me about 2 minutes to alter my gores, and only a few more to do the straps. If you've got a tailor near you (look for someone that does wedding/formal, any tailor *should* know how to fix your bra but I'd trust someone more if they're qualified to work on thousand dollar gowns) that would be an easy solution too.

helpfulI'm not 100% sure, but I suspect you might be a candidate for Ewas S cut bras. These have longer wires and a sturdier shape overall. Also, the center gore is higher, thus keeping everything in shape.
People with soft boobs often reported the problem that their boobs were 'falling' out of the PL bras in the middle, so Ewa created the S shape with a higher center gore.(I just checked out the bras you marked as 'fit' and they are all unpadded balconettes with higher center gores than the regular plunge bra, as far as I can see. The S is Ewa's padded balconette shape, and the SM as the unpadded version might also be worth looking into. Good luck!)

helpfulMaybe this bra is too shallow for you? The suggestion I've gotten when otherwise-fitting bras have the gore/wires sitting too low is that the cups aren't projected enough. That might also explain your quad-boobing.
Also, it looks like the straps are way too wide-set, which is something I've read a lot about EM bras.
But I just noticed you said the band rides up. Maybe an 80G or 80GG in the same would work better? (Down in the band and up in the cup?) From what I can see in your photos the band looks okay, but if it feels like it's riding up, it might be worth a shot.

I agree with the straps and gore being too wide (possibly the cup too, but doesn't look by much). But I think the bra is also too small. I think someone else told me that when you move the straps in closer, it also makes the cup feel smaller, so that wouldn't be a great move here. It's not an exact science, but your laying perimeter is 12" and the cup depth is 10.5". That may work for some people, but I think maybe try something closer to 11.5"?
Before deciding if this is a dud, you can pin the gore narrower, and pin some ribbon where the straps should be (attaching to the strap at top) and see if that's any better. That way you haven't permanently altered the bra and you can change your mind :)
