Issue resolved
Returning this - the JJ fit much better
Original problem
Its too big!
I'm not surprised on the one hand, because I usually wear a 32J, and this comes in a J, JJ and the K, which I ordered - but the depth is 14.5 which is within my fit range! Well, I thought so at least. Looks like my best fits have been 14 inch.
Thats not the only issue though, either. The straps seemed to cut in (i might have tightened to far?) and the band seems to drift downwards on my ribcage - but the band is tight - i really struggled to turn it around!
Its not too loose-looking under clothing, but its saggy - if I'm going to wear a saggy bra, I'll stick with my non-wired ones, I think.
So now what? Amazon still has a 32JJ on clearance, too. But that only has a depth of 13.3, which is likely too small. Or maybe it'll shrink a bit? I've never had a padded panel bra like this before

helpfulI think you should definitely give the 32JJ a try. The foam panels do have some stretch and give to them, so they likely will accommodate more than the measured depth suggests. Also, I think you do have the straps over-tightened to try to fix the cup being too big. Going down to the 32JJ should fix these issues as well.

helpfulIt's partly because there is more space near the top of the cup.Cup depth does not measure that, wish we could figure out a good way to measure that and add it onto bratabase,as it can affect fit quite a lot. While saying, this bra has a fairly good amount of space for full on top boobs helps, that's also a matter of opinion and will vary from user to user. But sometimes when there's a lot room in the top part of a bra,if I size down from my normal cup depth,it will fit.For those fuller on top, they often have to do the opposite, sizing up more than cup depth would suggest if they wish to try a more closed on top style.

I'm not really sure but I think I'm full on bottom. I'm also so very soft that nothing in this world can much convince my breasts to rise up over the edge of the bra.
But thats a good point - honestly, I was wondering as it looked lower cut that some of mine, so I was wondering if that could be a sizing factor. But at this size, its not low cut lol

helpfulYou know, now that I look at the chart, the depths for this bra are very weird, too. In a 32 band:
GG - 12 inch depth
H: 11.8 inch depth (I think this was an actual measurement)
HH: 13 inch
J: 13.2
JJ: 13.3
K: 14.5thats really a strange progression. Curious how that plays out. Obviously there have not been many of these entered in the database yet, either.
I'll definitely try the JJ. The J is sold out (in the clearance color)

One thing that bears noting about the measurements (including depth) for the 32JJ size is that it is not an actual measurement from a user. It is an estimate (so to speak) based on other info. No one has actually measured the bra yet in that size. I have a similar bra by Curvy Kate that had no measurements from users and listed the depth about an inch less than I measured it once I got it. Just thought that might be something to consider.
-
I did consider that - before I entered the 32K, there was no actual bra for that size either. My measurements almost perfectly matched the estimate, though. But I'm still wondering how on earth the database has filled in such uneven guess? Jj any explanation here?
-
The extrapolated measurements come from a few nearby measurements we can find, obviously we don't have all the data so the site does a best effort. On this case it may have come from adjacent sizes and bras with the same cut on that size. It averages the bras entered on those found bras and uses it for this bra as a place holder.
http://www.bratabase.com/help/calculations/#InterpolatedWhat we need is more measurements, whenever you see someone having any bra ask them to please add it here so we get real data.
-
Trust me, i measure and post pictures of every bra before I send it back! I'm all about the data!
I just thought it was weird how uneven the estimates were on this one

helpfulPAD YOUR BRA GIRLFRIEND! Just kidding... almost. I bet that is not a suggestion you've gotten very often--it does work really well in this size range sometimes, because it adds rigidity to the cup and can improve support, so do file it away at the back of your mind... but of course for now the logical next step is to try the 32J.
A downward-creep problem can be due to the band actually being a bit tight on you. You may want to try an extender to get just another inch or half-inch.
You don't look saggy to me at all in the fully clothed photo but perhaps the arms lifted position makes you look perkier?

"Pad your bra" meaning add those in-bra pads you can use? I dont even know where they come from.
anyways, i see what you mean that it doesnt look saggy, but most of my new bras are holding me higher than that. I dont seem to have dressed pictures for most of them, but I can see the difference ,even in sweaters, in the ones I like - my boobs are just so much higher than I'm used to, and I really like itoh, and uh. . . i see three copies of your comment lol

Yeah I don't know how I do that (the triplicate posts). Or if it's just the site. I post once and it shows up a zillion times! I have never found a way to fix it when that happens. I'll consider it my special superpower for now ;-)
For pads, well I'm reporting second hand here, but the people who posted about how it was helpful were using the little precut foam pads that come with Ewa Michalak and Kris Line bras. They're cut to match the shape of the bottom piece of the cup. I've only ever tried one Kris Line and didn't keep it long. I imagine you can find similar stuff in notions/sewing departments or online.

helpfulThis bra isn't that big on you. If you go down in the cup size it will quad esp. over the center, which on this bra looks perfect.

No, the J would be WAY too small - its 12.5 depth. thats the weird thing about this bra - more than a full inch difference of depth between sizes. I honestly believe the JJ will be too small! Sigh. But i still should probably try. For $15 . . and maybe I can return them if they dont fit. it is an awkward bra.
