Bra fitting help » Cup too small? Underarm leakage.
Freya » Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) » 30E 30:6
Issue resolved
I ended up keeping this bra and pulled the wires to make them wider. I tried the 30F (gaped at top) and the 32E (band too big), so I thought it best to stick with the 30E and see how it goes.
Original problem
Tight band, but I might be okay with that. Main trouble is that I don't think it encompasses my underarm breast tissue. Thoughts?

helpfulI guess the only thing to do is to try to find a bra whose underwires come up higher at the sides. I also have a problem with underarm "fat" just cause I have a lot of breast tissue under my armpits. Also, Freya makes stretchy bands so if you feel like it is still too tight for you, try 32 bands in the future. As for the outer cup cutting into your breast tissue at the sides, either the cup size is too small or the wires are too narrow. I saw that the VS bra you put onto bratabase actually did fit you. Maybe 32E is a better size for you. VS also has wider wires than the Freya Deco Plunge.

Thank you ladies. I have a Freya Deco Plunge (same as this one) on order in a 30F and a Freya Deco Honey on order in a 32E. This one is just ouchy, sending it back. Thanks for your help and I'll post photos of the other ones once I get them. Interesting note about how VS has wider wires. Good to know!

helpfulI already wrote that at your bra review, so:
The Deco Plunge has super narrow wires. It barely works for anyone in your size range because of that. Try the Deco Softcup instead - it has no wires, so the problem with underarm spillage is much smaller. Also, telling from the pictures, the cups don't look too small. The size is right, the shape is off.

Ahh, got it. Thank you. I'm closer to understanding what's up. I tried some 30F bras at Nordstrom Rack and didn't fill them. They were lacy, unpadded bras. So I guess I shouldn't rule out 30E just because the Freya plunge didn't work.

helpfulThe bra is too short and narrow for you, and cup is 1-2 sizes too small. The band seems nice (it may feel tight because of the narrow underwires cutting in, not the band itself) I also have a lot of underarm breast tissue and freya NEVER fit me. even when cup was too big, it never encompassed my breasts on the sides.

Uhhg, I tried the deco in a 30F (cup too big) and a 32E (band too big)--no go. Then I tried the freya Taylor in a 30E and a 28F--nope. I think I need to move on and try another brand.

The band is kind of small which is making you wear it lower. That's what I'm seeing. :)
