Bra fitting help » What size does this equal in other brands?
Simone Perele » Caressence Shaped Full Cup (12J316) » 70E 32:5
Issue resolved
Keeping the bra. Plan to look for something with wider wires in the future.
Original problem
I believe this Simone Perele bra fits me well. Do you agree? It's a size 85E (Fr), 70(EU), 32DD (Us/Uk). Reviews of this brand indicate unusual sizing, so I'm confused about what size I am. For cups, I'm in between a 32DD and 32DDD at Victorias Secret, but their bands are way too loose. I've tried all sizes in my range in Freya--closest fit was a 30E. What the heck size am I and what should I try next? My breasts are wide set and shallow. Thank you!

helpfulGiven your ribcage loose and tight measurements looks like you have a lot of squish. It may depend on your comfort level to try different bras band 30 or 32.
I agree that the bra seems like a good fit. If we're to nit pick, the cups seem to be on the narrow end on the sides. But since you don't report any discomfort then go for this.
About what size to try next, I think you could try for 30E or 30F in some bras depending on their cut and measurements.
I think that the questions is wrong for "what size are you", you are not a size, and should not expect to use one size and translate that to other brands with much success. Sadly, bras are complicated like that.If you want to know about size equivalences, you can notice that this bra has the size "32:5" next to it. That's its "index size", so you can look for all bras that have the same index size here on the site and you'll see the equivalence on other brands.

Still, it is always best to go by measurements and use that.

helpfulThis was my first thought, but I think its not going to be tall enough for you. That bra you are wearing seems such a good fit . . http://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/deco-moulded-plunge-bra-4234/30E/#
But look at the deco I linked - the volume is close to your depth, and if your comfy ribcage is a 30, I'd start with a 30.
I dont know what is tall and shallow, since I'm not that lol

Oy, what was I thinking? I mean the depth of the deco in the 30E is close to your perimeter measurements, which is one thing to look for.

The 30E Freya deco ended up fitting me after I pulled and widened the wires. Hard to find wide wires with shallow cups. Sheesh! Thanks for your feedback. I'll keep looking and try some other brands. Process of elimination I guess!

Thank you for explaining the index size. I hadn't really figured that out yet. I'd like to find something with wider wires, but I'm having trouble filling the cups. Sigh...
