Bra fitting help » Feel snug in cup without quad boob
Freya » Deco Shape Moulded Multiway Bra (1464) » 28E 28:6
Issue resolved
Returned the bra -- shape wasn't right for me.
Original problem
Feels tight in cups, but I don't have any quad boob. It also feels like it smooshes my breasts together too much even though there's no padding or pushup. I have empty space at the bottom of the cups.

helpfulReally? I am seeing a bit of quadboob at the center portion (more close to the gore) of the bra. I think the cups are too small for you, which may also explain why your tissue wont fill out the bottom of the bra. I've had a couple of decos before, and on my larger days there was always empty space at the bottom because the bra is so shallow there. Also the cups seem too small because its even pushing the skin underneath your boobs together? Right above the gore.
I think you can try sizing up in the cups if you really like this bra, you should be able to fill out the bottom better and the bra would look better proportioned to the amount of breast tissue you have. However, I don't think it would really help the strap placement, in a 28F, they would probably be even farther apart.Updated on December 21, 2014 Flag this

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have gaping in the 28F, but there's always a possibility. I'm not very experienced with sizing for implants since they always look larger than the cup the person actually wears. As far as a plunge that isn't full coverage on the sides, maybe you can try out Ewa michalak! They have a lot of plunges, from my experience and many others', they are low coverage as well.
I would check out this blog: http://scienceandsilicone.blogspot.com/ this person also has implants, and is around your size. She reviews a lot of nice bras so you can have an idea of how they would they fit on you. -
Thank you so much!

helpfulFrankly I think this cut of bra is always going to be iffy for someone with your shape. There is a distinct mismatch between the amount of coverage at the center, and the fullness you have in that area. You could probably use a higher cup size, but this won't make the cups much closer together! You are probably better off with something that supports you from below.

helpfulMoulded cups are tricky for very projected breasts, Deco is only slightly projected. Parfait Casey and Jeanie are more projected but also wider so won't be ideal. If you can consider a seamed bra Cleo Lily is narrow, even in shape, and projected. Polish bras as suggested are also a good idea.

helpfulI would try up a size and see how that fits, but a good chance you won't really ever fill the bottom part of the bra just due to projection. I have the same issue as I have high profile implants, just mine are xl. I wear all the Freya decos( too projected so I don't fill the bottom of the cup , not a big problem to me), some miss mandalay But I think your best bet is to try some polish brands. Ewa Michalak and Comexim. They will have the narrow wires, and projection in the cups.
On a side note! Don't go crazy with the new bras yet, your size is still likely to change yet again!

Thank you for the suggestions! You're right... I do notice some quad near that area. I'm fairly new to the whole proper fitting bra thing and typically just think of quadboob at the top of the breast that would show through a tight fitting t-shirt. I'm having the hardest time finding a proper fitting bra. I had an augmentation 3 months ago with high profile implants so I have a lot of projection but very little width PLUS I have naturally very close together breasts due to my ribcage tilting inwards from scoliosis. It seems impossible to find a plunge demi cut bra in my size! I completely agree on the strap placement comment. I feel as though these straps will slide off my shoulders no matter how tight they are due to their width. I also feel that if I did size up in the cup I might have some gaping?
