Bra fitting help » Can I afford to size down? Underwires digging into armpits.

Issue resolved
Lengthened the straps more and now it doesn't poke.
Original problem
So this is my first attempt with the s style. I thought it was perfect at first but after wearing it for a bit I find the underwires rub me under my armpit. The straps dig into my arms as well, but they aren't as much of an issue as after wearing it 3 or 4 times they have softened and bent a bit. I fluctuate a lot throughout the month in size and I should note that I am at my smallest when these pictures were taken. When I am at my biggest it's more of a smooth line along the top. I have very soft breasts and quad super easy. I am between equal to fob, and lots of inner fullness. Should I give up on the s style or can I try a 75h without quading? I am really loving the pads, I am wearing one on my smaller size to make me look more symmetrical.

helpfulAs a hail mary you can try and see if you've got the straps a little tighter than they need to be. On some people, especially those with narrow roots and lean sides, this can hoist everything just a little higher than is comfortable and cause underwire poking.
I fear the other posters are right though and there's no way sizing down is going to be an improvement. Sorry!
If you are very enterprising you might pick open the wire channels, pull out the wires and use wire cutters to snip about 1/4 inch off the ends. Most people think I'm a barbarian for suggesting this though!

Wonderful! Glad it is not hurting anymore.

helpfulWhat is it that you dislike about this bra? If you want another S bra I think it's reasonable, but this one seems like it fits just fine, though the wires are a bit wide on you.

It's the underwires rubbing me under my armpits, it's really uncomfortable to wear.

helpfulI wouldn't size down in the cup, because you already stated that the center gore doesn't lay flat. What happens if you push it towards your sternum? If there's quadboob, do not size down.
Apart from that, I think you could use a wider band size in this one. It looks pretty tight. It would fix both the 'straps being too far apart' and the 'wires being too wide' issues and improve overall cup fit. Ewa's bras behave pretty weirdly if worn too tight.

So I tried an extender but any looser in the band and it slides around and the front angles down, exaggerating the underwire problem.
As for the gore not lying flat, it starts flat but works it's way from me. My theory on this is my boobs are practically touching and super full in the inner quadrant, while the bra has a very high gore. This makes it too wide at that point so my breasts shove it away. It's kind of a catch 22 with soft breasts that are close set.

Ah, so simple yet it solved it, I lengthened the straps and now no more poking, thanks! I really wanted this bra to work because I need a multiway and the only multiway I can find in my size and narrow wires is the s diament. If only it wasn't so expensive...
