Bra fitting help » Wire height? Does this hold all of my breast tissue?
Curvy Kate » Princess Balcony Bra (CK6001) » 36G 36:9
Issue resolved
Its a great fit!
Original problem
Hi! I bought this Curvy Kate Princess recently and it feels perfect but I have a question about the side wires. Do they go up high enough and encompass everything? I think they do but would like the opinion of someone else who knows more about good fitting bras than I do. I'm very new to finding the right bras in the right size. Again, it feels wonderful I don't have to adjust it throughout the day and it gives good support while still being pretty but I'm a little unsure of the fit. Btw, I'm a 36G.

helpfulWire height, at least on the sides, is largely a comfort issue. If you feel comfortable, the wire is high (or low) enough! I definitely do not see any unsupported breast tissue on the outside, either--if you look at the photos (or in the mirror) you will see that there are no bulges or indentations.
A couple fit tips though:
- Make sure the straps are not over-tightened, I see some wrinkling below the horizontal seam that suggests this might be the case. Your straps should be as loose as they can be without actually falling off your shoulders. You won't get the full benefit of a well-fitting bra if you are making the straps support a lot of the breast weight, instead of the band! Overly tight straps can also cause the cup to distort and can create weird wrinkling and dimpling in the band under the arm.
- Do you by any chance have the habit of fastening the bra in front of your body, then pulling it round the back to put it on properly? The band here looks like it got a bit twisted and rolled, on the side under your arm. If you can manage to fasten your bra behind you, try to so, this because a properly snug, supportive bra band will stretch out and become useless much faster if it gets tugged and twisted round you every time it's worn. (If you were previously wearing bras in a band size that was 5 or 6 inches too big for you, naturally hauling it round every day was much easier!) If you can't do it in back for some reason, try to check in the mirror to make sure your band is sitting smoothly on your body and didn't get mangled on its way round.

helpfulIt looks like everything is contained into the cup quite nicely. I'd say if this feels comfortable it's a great fit.

helpfulIt looks like it fits really good. The wires look almost perfect. I would wear this bra if it fit me like it fits you. A-

I have arthritis in my hands and since I am now wearing the right size band I can't hook my bra from the back. What I do after I turn it around is run my fingers under the back and sides to smooth out the band, at the same time as I swoop.
