Issue resolved
will get bigger cups
Original problem
My issue isn't confined to this bra, it's all bras i own. The Ellis fits technically, the wires in my IMF, no cup wrinkling o quad boob but my I jiggle with every step I take. I think it's because of my tall roots. I feel the need to wear a compression sports bra or a literally full cup bra that would cover my entire bust and hold it to my body. But it seems like all bras leave 1/3 of my bust exposed and it feels wrong and I think that's what causes the jiggling. I wonder also if someone can affirm my belief that I am even and shallow?

helpfulJiggling.....I know this sensation, too. I'd definitely recommend a cup size up, but I doubt it will remedy the too-wide gore issue. It will provide a bit more coverage, but likely not enough to improve your comfort.
Have you tried Curvy Kate Princess? It has a bit more depth than Ellis, taller cup, wider cup (maybe slightly), and a longer wire. This is just a theory which in application has never worked with my bras (darn it!!): if the bra cup has a bit more depth will some of your center tissue flow away from the gore? If yes, the gore may be more tolerable, too. If not, the gore will remain too wide like Ellis.
Honestly, I have had no success finding narrow enough gores. And, altering them creates a short list of other obstacles for my breast shape. However, Wacoal's Wild Seduction bra has a gore that may work for you, and the band is especially short. For instance, the 34 band stretched to 30.5". The 32 band may be short, too. The gore wires overlap/widen at the top which is outstanding for those of us who are close set. There is no data in the 32D/32DD models and despite my affinity for Wacoal bras, I've not encountered any other Wacoal like Wild Seduction that would allow me to better predict how each size would fit.
Best wishes!!!

helpfulI would definitely recommend going up 1-2 cup sizes, and perhaps trying a style that's less open on top, such as the Cleo Marcie or Minnie.
Ellis is super open on top, and therefore will rarely cut into boob tissue, even if it's much too small.
A larger cup size will probably help with the center gore issue, too. If the cups are large enough, your boobs aren't that smooshed together and have more space to settle into the cups instead of being pressed against the ribcage. Also, depending on the bra, you may consider sister sizing up in the band for additional comfort with the center gore. (Marcie and its sister cuts are notorious with poking wires in the smaller cup sizes, and a larger band may help with that, if fit isn't compromised.)
Good luck!

helpfulI agree that this is too small. I dont think you look shallow. And i'm not sure about 'even' - you look more rounded on the bottom than the top, but its not just your roots that are tall, your breast fullness goes up very high on your chest, and not mounding up, but . . idk, i dont have words for it. You have a lot of breast tissue above your nipples, but its spread vertically

Thanks for the reply, hmm that is very interesting. So long I thought I was shallow. But I did gain weight recently so I think that may hav tipped my shape into a different territory.

thats one of those super irritating things - gain or lose weight, and either your shape changes, or your favorite bra simply shifts sizes in different ways than your boobs do, so you have to find a new favorite bra

helpfulI think you look more like a 28F. That might solve some of your issues, not sure. I would start there. It will be easier to assess the other stuff in a bra that's not so tight.

helpfulGood googly moogly, this cup is WAY too small. You are absolutely right that insufficient coverage is a sign of poor fit (too small in at least one dimension). I wouldn't say you are shallow, you have tall roots with upper root fullness that continues pretty far up (without being extraordinarily projected either, just average really) and notably an outer upper quadrant that's quite full and probably is most comfortable when contained. The wide-set straps typical of Cleo, et al. are going to be a dead loss on you because they cut right into that tissue.
Try to search for bras by perimeter. Looking at the numbers shows us just why this is such a crappy unsupportive fit. If your numbers are correct and up to date, you want a 9" deep cup on average. In absolutely NO world will a 9" perimeter breast fit well into a 28DD! You want at least 2 cup volumes up.

I haven't tried CK princess or really any CK yet. Gosh I just don't know if I need more depth? Well actually I do feel slight pain in the lower cup area like it must be too small and compressing. So maybe definitely need more lower depth! Wow I've never seen a bra with overlapping wires ! That would be so ideal. Thanks for your reply :)
