Issue resolved
Too small... grew some and now it's way small.
Original problem
So, I would be the happiest ever if this bra came in a 28 band because then it would be a no-brainer to go for a 28E, but I'm nervous to try the 30DD because of the band. It's average stretchiness for a 30, so I wear this on the second hook but could easily go for the tightest one. When I wore this around the house for a few hours, the quading went away, but after re-S&Sing it comes back. Because of this I'm nervous to try the next cup size up since it will still likely spill out throughout the day.
My basic question is: When do you ladies decide that there is too much quad boobage? I feel like this is soooo close that I would be happy with it, and that the next cup size up would be too big... but I'm not sure.
Also, does anyone have suggestions or more unlined/unpadded bras with this shape? This is easily the most perfect shape I've found for me, but I'm not sure on where to go from here. Ideally, I'd like a 28 band, so while 30s are okay, 28s are dramatically better and will have a longer life with me.
Also, for reference, I have super squishy boobs, that are splayed slightly and seem to be even 2/5 shape... but one boob is slightly more FoT and the other is slightly more FoB.

helpfulI deem something 'too much quad' if it shows through a shirt (I mostly wear t-shirts but not the super tight/thin ones) or if it bothers me. You know how sometimes the tiniest thing is off (not necessarily with a bra but anything) and you know it but no one else can tell, but it bugs the bejesus out of you anyway? Like that.
Also, jump and jiggle around. Try to be the most active you could ever possibly need to be in this bra. If it doesn't show through a shirt, and doesn't fall out more, as long as you're comfy it's good.Updated on September 30, 2014 Flag this

I agree with the comment by Yourlovealive, it really is somewhat subjective. If you're like me, then any amount of quad boobing is too much, but it really depends on your personal preference. I do not have enough knowledge to help you identify bras with your shape, and since I can't fit into a 28 band I don't want to steer you wrong about bra styles to try.

I pretty much agree with what's already been said - if you feel comfortable in the bra and you are happy with the way it looks under your clothes then it's a keeper - even if it's not 100% perfect it will give you something as a frame of reference for improvement when shopping for more bras.

helpfulThe quadboob seems to be due to the lace- is it?
If it is, and this is just me- I suggest cutting off the lace.
At least you get to keep the bra.
If it's not just the lacy portion, then try going up a cupsize in this?Updated on November 18, 2014 Flag this

I don't think she could really get away with cutting off the lace-if you look at the front facing picture, the lace is a big part of the cup-cutting it off would not only make the bra way more plunge-y and revealing, it might destabilize the whole thing, since the cups have so much of the lace portion-it isn't just an overlay, it's actually part of the cup, and doesn't appear to have anything underneath it that would hold the cup together. If it were just a lace trim, cutting it off would probably be fine, but since it's a good chunk of the cup, it probably wouldn't work with this particular bra. In the angled shots it isn't as clear how much of the cup is lace, but in the front on shot, you can see it's quite a bit. =^__^=

Thanks! That makes me feel a lot better about really wanting to keep this one!
The quading isn't bad and doesn't make the bra uncomfortable. It is the first unpadded bra that I would wear in public, so I can already tell that I will be checking and adjusting myself to make sure there isn't a nip-slip. But I think that will go away once I get more used to it.
I'll wear it for a day and make sure to dance like no one's watching to check out the possible spillage situation.
