Bra fitting help » Wires too wide?

Issue resolved
The bra's wires are too wide for me. I did try forcing my Freya Long Line into a more U shape, and it helped. It helped, but I feel like I am going to pop out of the bra now.
Original problem
I really like the polka dots and the flowers on the comfy Freya Bra. I am having an issue with this bra (and it is the same problem that I had with my other Freya Long Line). I am thinking that the wires on this bra might be too wide for me. I can't fill out the bottom of the cups of my two Freya Bras. Is there any way that I can fix this bra so that I am not having problems with having empty space at the bottoms of the cups?

helpfulFreya longlines are wide and shallow compared to the brand's other bras, so they are not a great fit for people who are more projected with center fullness. If it's just slightly too wide and shallow, sometimes you can improve the fit by forcibly bending the wires into a narrower "U." Only do this if you love the bra and have no plans to return it though--they won't take it back after you have bent the wires!

Only the plunge Freya styles are narrow and projected. The halfcups, softcups, strapless, and longlines tend to be wide.
-
Thank you Saskia C I think that from now on if I ever purchase another Freya bra, then I will stick with the plunges. Well then I guess I will start looking at Freya Deco's whenever I want to purchase another plunge bra.
Just to clarify, as far as the Freya bra I am wearing is concerned, I am in the correct size right?
-
As correct as it's going to get, yes, but the problem when a bra is the wrong shape is that there really isn't a "correct" size for you. If it's too narrow or too wide for you, you'll be forced to size up to a cup volume that is larger than your true breast volume, just so that you can fit into it. As you can see here for example you've had to size up to a cup that is 10" deep when your real breast perimeter is only 9" (but I'm sure if you went down to a DD you would get quadboob, because it is so shallow).

Thanks, I understand what you are explaining Wendy. I think though that I may have measured the cup width and the depth wrong. On the 32f I bought I checked the measurements posted here on bratabase, and someone has that the 32f has a depth of ten inches and a width of 5.8 inches. Obviously my measurements are off, and I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
-
Other people's measurements can be way off too! You can check your measurements again and correct any errors if you want to be scrupulous.
-
In case someone else needs it, we have a help page describing how to take each measurement:
http://www.bratabase.com/help/measuringinstructions/dawnss if you want to check your current bra measurements you can see them here http://www.bratabase.com/profile/cy0/bras/?as_table=True for a quick overview.
We will get alerts when some bra's measurements seem sketchy, like cup depth and width being too close (flat cup) and a few other hints. Those are the cases where we'll send an email asking for confirmation. Until we receive one the bra is separated from calculations.

Thank you Wendy and Jj, I will make sure that I retake the measurements for the bra.

helpfulfirst of all, try a smaller band size (32 doesn't even touch your ribcage!), the cups will also be narrower in 30Fs

I have thought about trying a smaller band size in Freya's bras, but I have never given it a shot. I thought that the reason the wires in this bra don't touch my rib cage was because the ruffles on the bottom of the bra prevent them from doing so.
-
On models' photos ruffles lie flat. I tried one Feya bra without them, but in similar style (wide back, etc) and the the lower part of it didn't touch my ribcage in the same way. The back was obviously too big, I think Freya bras are too loose in the back in comparison with other brands so it's worth trying a smaller band size.
-
Ok I understand what you're explaining. I have read before that Freya bras tend to run larger in the band. I don't have an issue with trying a smaller band. I will keep this in mind if I try on a Freya Deco Plunge.

I thought that Freya bras were deep and projected overall, now that I know that the longlines are shallow, I still avoid them. I would try to bend the underwires, but I don't love this bra enough to keep it. Thanks @ wendybien.
