Bra fitting help » I don't know why this seems to fit.

Issue resolved
Fit has been confirmed.
Original problem
These cups must run really small because I *think* it fits pretty well and what baffles me is that this is a UK38G/US38I. So what am I missing? Does it *not* fit me and I'm just not seeing it? Yes, there is a little fluttery nonsense on the neckline but that's just the lace scallop overlay.

helpfulSize correspondence is often BS... For example I'm around a 32F/DDD in US sizing at the moment and a lot of UK bras do fit me in 32F too, and their measurements are the same.

That's why the measurement tables are so important. I wish we could devise a way to measure and describe a cup that would help in determining shape. A vertical measurement from the bottom of the cup to the (sometimes theoretical) vertex might help understand the projection and/or FoB shaping. A horizontal measurement from the midline of the bra to the midline of the cup would help determine outer or inner fullness. I don't know. Sometimes it's just so damned frustrating. Made even more so when people don't measure the bras, or give only partial measurements.

helpfulI think it's fitting you just fine. Is it comfortable? The straps being farther apart don't bother you at all?
I really like it on you!Updated on January 22, 2015 Flag this

Awww, KariNicole, that is so sweet of you to say! It put a big smile on my face.
No, the wide-set straps don't bother me at all.

Awww yay I'm glad! :D

I wouldn't say I prefer that style, but I certainly don't mind it. I have several tops that are almost off-the-shoulder so wide-set straps work well for those. Besides, I've found that most convertible bras are wide-set.
