Bra fitting help » Close fit, a little wrinkling.
Parfait By Affinitas » Lola Half Padded Bra (6412) » 38G 38:9
Issue resolved
No fix.
Original problem
I think it's a fairly close fit. The band is very tight and I think it's creating some tension wrinkles. There is also a little wrinkling at the bottom of the cup.
Mostly I'm posting this fit request in response to someone else who just bought this same bra.

helpfulI have no personal experience wearing a Parfait (although I adore their styles) but have read multiple times that the band tends to run on the tight side. Also that wrinkling in the cups could be an indication that you need to tighten the straps more, but I want to say it's more of a shape issue considering you have wrinkling at the bottom of the cups too. I'm going to guess from personal experience (same size sistah) but you would need a bra that offers more projection and isn't so shallow. You certainly could try a size up in the band and cup and see how it goes, but I'd probably take a pass on this brand.

Needing a bra that offers more projection and is less shallow is not something I ever expected to hear. Nor the size up in cup size. I'm not saying you're wrong, though. My boobs are still growing, and when I first started getting boobs, I would have called it a miracle if I could fill a B cup!
I got this bra on sale from Zulily, so it wasn't real expensive. I'm just going to (try and) not buy bras for a little while, just to see where my boobs are headed.

I'm no expert by any means but just from personal experience with that type of fit gripe it was the first thing I thought of. However, good luck with your bra search whenever you pick it back up! :)

helpfulThe cup is too big, and the band is way too small - I don't mean for your comfort, but to allow the cups to sit properly. Not just the wrinkles, but the cup cutting off your arms, is from too big cup/too tight band.
Most Parfait runs extremely tight; you would need a 42 in this. If you try it on with two extenders, you'll see that you have extra cup.

I tried it with one extender and the wrinkling went away, which is what I expected. Yes, my experience with Parfait bands is that they run very tight. I also tried it with two extenders and it didn't appreciably alter the fit. No gaping anywhere with my larger breast, slight flutter of the lace at the hemline of my smaller breast. When I undo the bra at the back and let the band relax, the bra does not fall off. It just sits there, with my boobs still filling the cups. That tells me the underwires still firmly encircle the breasts, still grasping them with a little tension. Only when I let the straps fall do the cups start to gape.
As for the issue of the cup cutting off my arm, what you're seeing is that I have high-set breasts and when the underwire is snug in the inframammary fold, that's where the cups come to.

Parfait is probably the worst offender out there when it comes to sizing inconsistency. Cleo takes a close second. I have tried on multiple styles of Parfait bras and I have found that the Charlotte runs small in the band and cup and the Jeanie is all over the place. If you take three Jeanie's in the same size and compared them, you might see that one has a true to size band, one has a band that runs large, and one has a band that runs small. Also, there is zero consistence in cup sizes. A 30D in one style fits like a 30DD or 32D in another.
