Bra fitting help » A highly-recommended bra for wide, shallow breasts almost lives up to the hype.

Issue resolved
Rixie clip=close enough
Original problem
This is a fairly flattering bra, but there are a couple issues. First, the band is clearly too large and even rides up occasionally. I guess I'm a solid 28. Secondly, the cup doesn't encompass all my breast tissue/armpit fat. I'd have to scoop and swoop constantly to keep the cups full. Something about the design makes the bra very pointy. I pulled the lace tight and fastened it at the sides to smooth the profile, which helped some, but I wouldn't wear this under a thin shirt. I do like the removable push-up "cookies" that give me cleavage for the first time in my life (I don't have them in for the pictures).

helpfulThe pointy shape wears out after washing the bra I own two Fiore Plunges and it happended to both of them. Also I guess you breast tissue will stay in the cups if you altered the band. If the wires are defintely too narrow you could try the Fauve Isobel Padded Plunge or Bravissimo Halfcups instead.

helpful> I'd have to scoop and swoop constantly to keep the cups full.
This may be caused either by the cups being too narrow, or the wires being too low, or by a band that's too wide.
I suspect the latter - but please check how the wires work with your boob shape. Does your breast root match the line of the wires? Are they too wide or too narrow?
This information is very useful when looking for other bras that may fit you.Updated on January 26, 2015 Flag this

Okay :)
Sounds like you need wider wires overall, and a wider center gore (although a too narrow gore isn't really considered bad fit - the wire ends at the sides of your body are way more important).
By the way, choosing a tighter band will also put more stretch on the wires and cause them to be wider. You can also try to bend the wires wider by yourself if they're only a smidge too narrow. As for bras you could try - the Cleo Maddie is available in 30C and it's really wide-root/shallow friendly. It runs small-ish in the cups, so consider trying a 30D as well.
Other bras with very wide wires include Tutti Rouge bras in general, or the Freya Marvel (these are only available from a D-cup, so consider sizing down to 28D and using an extender with these).
Last but not least, Libby's awesome compilation of wide root shallow friendly bras has an extra section with bras available in cup sizes below D. Definitely check them out: http://www.bratabase.com/adventures/entry/2346/.
You can also use Bratabase to specifically search for bras with wide wires that make promising candidates to try on.I hope this helps a little... Good luck with your search. :)

helpfulI definitely think the reason you're having to readjust to keep the cups full is because the band is too big, so it's not holding everything in. You should definitely try something in a 28D-ish. If you're really attached to keeping this bra you could try altering it or acquiring a Rixie clip.

helpfulIt's simply too projected. The Lepel Fiore Plunge in 30C is shallowish, but there are varying degrees of shallow.

I don't think I properly thanked you for all your quick replies. So... THANK YOU!

I have tried this bra and the band comes up very large in my opinion. I tried the next cup size up and band size down and cups were way too big. Shame as it give a good(if a bit pointy) shape.

The wire matches the shape of my breast perfectly... along the bottom. The gore is a little too narrow to match my breast, and the outside ends of the wires push into my skin, creating a bulge.
