Bra fitting help » I'm still too wide and shallow.

Issue resolved
I've decided to lower my standards some, I guess.
Original problem
This is my best-fitting bra, but still isn't perfect. The left cup fits fine, but my smaller right tit doesn't quite fill the bottom of the cup. There is slight gapping around the gore (which leaves a light bruise on my chest for hours after removing the bra). My biggest complaint is the armpit fat/breast tissue squeezed out on the sides. I have VERY wide roots and shallow breasts. Can anyone recommend a better-shaped bra for my body?

helpfulFreya Deco Soft Cup. Try it in 28D and 28C and see which fits you better.
If the Freya Deco Soft Cup in 28D fits your shape, you can also then try the Freya Deco Half Cup and the Freya Deco Strapless in 28D.
If it turns out that you are a true 28D, you can also go with the Curvy Kate's Tempt Me/Elegance/Wild/Flaunt. The Curvy Kate Desire is also a good one.

mizwill113 I honestly don't know. You're probably going to have more success with containing armpit fat with the 28D bras. Also, Curvy Kate's Tempt Me/Elegance/Wild/Flaunt do a good job of containing armpit fat. So does the Cleo Neve.

I don't second the Deco Half cup, but the Curvy Kate Plunges (Tempt Me style) might even be worth a try if you are not a 'true' 28D - they run small and shallow in the cups. But the different sister cuts do run differently - see the reviews for further details.

FoxTaylor Curvy Kate Tease Me is even more open on top. Thrill Me may work - see this blog post for details http://www.bratabase.com/blog/2012/mar/15/thrill-me-tease-me-explain-me-183/

I really want to try the Tease Me. I'll buy one once the budget allows. I think Thrill Me is discontinued, right?

helpfulI have the similar shape as you and i'd say cups are definately too small in all your bras i've seen here. they should be twice taller because the main volume of your breast is in your armpits and it's completely outside the cup! Try to find the bra that is not projected, but is very tall, the underwire should go up high and encompass all the tissue under your arms. You can watch my bras, they must suit you, i am no more than 2 cups bigger than you. I can also advice Curvy Kate Entice (and CK'sother bras of this style) which I also own but didn't post because it was too small in 28E but this size may suit you. When a bra is too deep but not wide enough, you can try to remove the underwires, it will help a lot.

My gosh, thank you! Someone else recommended Tutti Rouge for me. I think I'll give it a try.

helpfulTo be honest, I've barely ever seen the Rhea working on wide root shallow boobs. If you can, try the Georgiana (Masquerade Georgiana (5471)) or one of its sister cuts (see http://www.bratabase.com/browse/masquerade/georgiana-5471/related/) - these are truly perfect for wide root shallow boobs, and also very comfy to wear.

Thanks! The bras look promising, but they're all listed "discontinued."

No, not all of them are discontinued. Masquerade Angie is still being sold regularly.
And you can snatch the others on ebay, or at outlet stores, or find them in Bratabase listings if you're lucky.
I have several of these 'discontinued' models, it's actually not that difficult to find them.

Ooh, thanks! Do you think the Soft Cup would be able to contain my armpit fat--I mean, tissue? I've been avoiding plunge styles (other than the Lepel Fiore) because I've read they're impossible for wide-and-shallow types.
