Issue resolved
Listing this to pass on. It really does not fit.
Original problem
So, this came to me NWT - but the tags got caught under my arm while I was adjusting the straps and came off! Oops.
The band is too short - more short than I thought it would be. Wearing it without the extender was quite painful, and even with the extender, it does not quite fit. The straps are too wide - because the back end of the strap has been pushed outwards by the extender. On my smaller side (right) it feels dangerously close to falling off.
The back of the bra, where the straps attach to the band, and above, sort of behind my armpit? The band cuts in and is painful. This band - really does not fit me. I cant imagine it stretching out enough to fit correctly.
Now, the cups do fit - fairly nicely. The top does not cut in or gap on either side, the bra gives nice projection and lift to my long, heavy, very soft boobs! Its a bit lumpy, but I suspect a couple of washes and wears would cure that.
Technically, its more cleavage and not as much separation as I want from a bra.
Should I keep it? I'm leaning towards no . .. I'm just a bit too big boned for this bra. As much as I feel my body is a mis-match, I guess there must be someone with an even smaller rib cage/shoulder, but breasts the same size as mine, who would love this?
Anyways, wanting feedback to help (or change!) my decision on passing this one on.

helpfulOh wow... this brings back memories of a Kris Line I bought from zulily that was theoretically my normal band size (32) but actually measured more like 28 point something. I actually thought I had busted a rib just trying it on. I think this shows that KL is a good option for you but just not in such a tiny band size! Ouch!
Before you offload it, I would suggest you slap on another extender and loosen the straps more (they look maybe a bit over-shortened here) to assess how this cup volume will fit if you get it on a larger band. The small band is obviously throwing things off a bit right now.

Yeah I meant just to loosen the band enough to see if that cup volume is ever going to be sufficient or if it is always going to be too small. (Not to actually wear it around with a much looser band.)
The gapping at the top of the cup doesn't always mean the same thing... In your case I'd say it can mean one or more of the below:
- cup is slightly too big for you
- cup is the right depth but is taller than the full part of your breast root (this was always the case for me when I was a bit more projected--like 100% of the time)
- straps sit too wide for your narrow build, meaning the designer assumed they'd be sitting a little further apart on your body and some of your upper boob tissue would be occupying that upper cup area
- petite torso or high-set boobs mean that you need to shorten the straps enough that the upper bit of the cup basically acts as the end of the strap

I'm short-torsoed and very projected, so I think its just what it is. But the floris doesnt do it!

helpfulSo this is a 30 band, and I saw on your bras list that your one fitting bra was a 32J. Maybe stick with 32 bands in the future?

Yes, the previous person who had it said it stretched to a 31, but I guess she pulls a lot harder than I do! It was a good deal, from a user here, so I thought it was worth a try. Plus, my Marcie 32 band is already too big - so I was wondering if maybe I'm really a 30. But this is just way too small.

I think that since all bra brands are different, you are probably a true 32. This means that you would buy 32 bands in brands where the band actually stretches out to 32". If the brand's bands run large, get the 30 band.

Its discontinued - I only bought it because it was a 'used/nwt' good deal. Not sure I really like this brand better than my floris - its hard to tell.
-
Oh I see I didn't know that it's discontinued.

But I think all of their semi-softs are the same cut, just different colors? not sure

actually I had to put the extender on a tighter spot on the bra - having it fully extended, it seemed way too loose. But I'll try loosening it more. The cup measurements - previous person said 14, I said 13.7 - I can fit between a 13.3 and 13.7 best, I think - so I was pretty sure about the cups. But i do see where there is some gapping at the top near the strap - I'm never sure quite that that means.
