Original problem
Band to loose? Cups to wide so i adjusted the wire by hand to make it narrower and deeper as shown on pic. Is that appropriate?

helpfulYes, lots of people bend the wires. As long as you are comfortable then you'll know you have not done anything wrong If the wire starts to stab you in the heart you probably need to fix its shape though!

I'm not sure. Is the band riding up?
-
wendybien not quite, but the wrinkles at the side is serious, i don't know why. i can put 3 fingers in those gaps at the side behind the cup wire x_x
-
Well, the bra was cut and sewn together with wire channels that had a certain shape, so when you bend the wires I think it's normal that this pulls the band at a slight angle and makes some wrinkles. If the bra feels comfortable and does not move around or lack support, I think you should be OK!
-
wendybien it was like that before i bend the wires, it is quite uncomfortable to me though, when i move i can feel it. and i can pull the band out for a hand's width. Can u suggest any UK brand that do tighter 28 bras?
-
I can't think of any that are tighter than Cleo, sorry :-(
-
wendybien thank you !! but i tried Cleo before, still a bit loose. :(
-
Yes sorry that's what I meant. I saw your response to another poster below saying even Cleo was too loose (which makes sense in view of your measurements) and I was just saying I didn't know any brands that would be tighter than Cleo, so I don't have any good suggestions unfortunately.

wendybien yes.i hate having a small ribcage but thank you very much indeed!

helpfulDo you have a clip on the back of the straps? I looked for other pictures of the bra and could not find where the straps went that direction - cant see under your hair. I'm thinking some of the wrinkling in the back could be from you clipping it like that. But a little wrinkle in the band shouldnt matter
Also, by the numbers, the band is too big for you - but I dont think I've seen many bras that come in a 26? How far can you pull the band away from your body?

I think this is one of the decos with a j-hook to em wear racer back.
-
dbmamaz yes i have used it, but there are still wrinkles even if i do not use it, especially at the sides behind the cups wire
3 inches at least -
Wow, you are tiny, arent you. I think the clip actually helped tighten up that gap, didnt it.
HOpefully wendybien has something useful to say . . .
-
dbmamaz im 5"4 and 42kg, not very petite but i have a very small frame
-
I think she means your ribcage is tiny. You're definitely in a size range where bands are hard to find. I do see that big gap in the photos. Again I think you will need to see how it behaves when it is worn--there's a chance it will be OK, especially since you do have a V shaped upper body tapering to a much smaller waist, so that helps prevent bands from riding up (Even on me and I am your height but ummm... lots bigger :-D) My concern would be that if the band moves around too much due to looseness you will experience irritation and discomfort. And possibly loss of support.

wendybien yes, i hate having a small ribcage and most of the bras do not fit so i kept buying and buying :( i have tried ordering from ewa michalak but they came up too small in the cups even i ordered 2 sizes larger than they suggested, and they could not be returned and took a long time to deliver. I really want to find a UK brand that do smaller 28 bras :(
-
Comexim might be another idea. You can order 26 bands from them directly or through Wellfitting.com if you are in the US, that go all the way up 26 O.
For UK, maybe some of the tighter Masquerade bras? I know they had a tendency to have tighter bands on some models. (Orla I'm looking at you, also had smaller cups).

helpfulYes the band is too loose for you, especially at the top. You can either hook it tighter, possibly unevenly. Get a Rixie clip, or sew it shorter.

Yourlovealive yes, i am just frustrated that is the smallest i can get in UK, 28. Is there any UK brand that do a tighter 28 bra which i can get easily?
-
Cleo is in the process of discontinuing a lot of 28s but they run very tight. I find panache does too but you'll want to check measurements for any specific bras. I think until you get your hands on some you might try a rixie clip, it's like a reverse extender. It might be a good investment since you're so tiny and are having such a hard time.
-
At the top of the website you can go to browse, then Filter by size instead of brand. Then it'll show you what brands make the size you want (26GG is only ewa michalak, comexim...custom bras). But go to 28G and you can see all bras here and check the stretched band measurements.
-
Yourlovealive ok thanks, i have tried freya and cleo and they are still too loose for me, i will browse for the 28g in the website, thanks

helpfuljust dropping in to mention some bras i found run really small in the band: the Masquerade Persia Non Padded Balconnet Bra, the Kris Line Diamond Semi soft (might be a really good option for you--my 30 was so small I had to use 2 extenders D: ), and Parfait as a brand runs small in general. Other than that you should definitely invest in a Rixie Clip. Oh, and there's a UK company called Made In Preston that produces 26 bands.

helpfulIs it just me, or do the wires sit a bit too low? (Looks like it in the first picture)

wendybien is the wrinkle occurred because the band is too loose? Is already the smallest size :(
