Bra fitting help » Non tacking gore, buckling cup and tall cups
Comexim » Basic Plunge Bra (170) » 85J 38:10
Issue resolved
Not going to work for me. Returned.
Original problem
This bra was ordered 3 months ago, and was on an exchange with Wellfitting. I ordered this before I knew about having a short root and how soft I was and why this bra wasn't going to work for me in the first place.
Issues - Gore doesn't tack, by about 2 fingers worth
-Cup is a bit tall, as I have about an inch of cup space unused
-bottom of the cup is buckling a little bitThe narrowness of the wire is fine, and quite comfortable for me. Band is tight, but not unbearable.
I do think if I order from Comexim again, it will be direct and customized. Higher gore, and maybe reduced cups? I have a reduced cup Comexim Laura 80K that looks TERRIBLE on me. No lift, and I overflow the top. Ideas for something that might work better? I am finding the best fits in Polish bras. Not that I have tried that many.
Here are other links so you can see the buckling, bigger cup, and disaster of the 80K.

helpfulHonestly, my gut instinct from looking at all these photos is that this is a depth and center containment issue, and that the cup is plenty wide for you. I don't think that is breast tissue on the sides. I think your boobs are all front and center. Of course I could be wrong but that is my best guess.
The Basic Black actually looks like it isn't THAT far from fitting so I think a custom order with higher gore, and (if they can handle this) an actual precise measurement of the cup expanse from gore to strap (given the modified height) would work great.

Good! So at least that confirms the wires are fine. It's the cup itself that needs to be tweaked so it contains you. I think there's hope for this cut yet :-)
In terms of the gapping at the top of the cup... do you think that would still happen even if the gore tacked and the wires were firmly anchoring the cups flat against the front plane of your torso instead of angled away (as they always are when the gore can't tack)? This might be something to consider when you are deciding how to customize cup height etc.
-
Absolutely. Pushing the gore in still leaves a large gap where the strap meets the cup. My root is horizontal across from the cleavage crease.
I've had an Envy (http://imgur.com/a/i7FEQ) that tacked by sheer force with a too small band and too big cups (34HH) and the cups forced the center fullness east west. Put an extender on and the top of the gore cantilevers out and the top wrinkles... And is incredibly uncomfortable to wear all day. I had cutting in on the bottom of root from the wire on my larger breast. I still have the bra if you want extender pics on that one.
I also got my Kris Line Brilliant semi-soft from zulily. It was a No on fit, as I had Madonna cone boobs.

helpfulWhen you push the gore in, is there quadding? It looks as if you have breast tissue escaping the side of the cups, which would likely be resolved with a larger cup size. If not that, then you may need wider wires, as your tissue goes beyond the narrow wires of the bra. How long have you been wearing properly fitted bras? You may find you need to wear wider wires until tissue migration brings your breast tissue back to the front of your body (or closer to, rather than by the armpit), and then the narrow wires will fit better. Of course, that will also mean a larger cup size since more tissue will be front and center. I can't speak for all boobs out there, but I know mine fit much better in Panache and other wide wired brands until migration occurred and frakkin' everything changed. But then Polish bras entered my life, and my boobs and wallet have been forever changed.
I would definitely suggest at least a lower cup height to start, and perhaps a higher gore if you've had luck with those in the past. I wouldn't count how the Laura fits you to be an indication of the entire brand, as Laura is an unpadded balconette and therefore constructed completely different than a padded plunge. Comexim is an *amazing* brand, I seriously can't speak highly enough of their bras. So if you love the fit of Polish bras, keep at it with the brand!

I don't know if it's tissue and most of the fat is towards the back side of my armpit. My root when I raise my arm is definitely towards the very front of my armpit. I can also flex that fat piece and it flexes my boob too, so it might be pectoral. When I press in the gore it overspills a little near the gore.
I've been making do with 85H - Chantelle » C Chic Sexy Plunge (3641) for about 3 months now. Spillage in the center and my nipples go east west. I would kill for this bra to have just a little more depth, but it's the biggest I can size in. My main issue with most of the UK bras I have tried is the lack of gore depth that I lose to wider wires. And lift. I have probably 60% of my tissue towards the center, and my nipples splay a bit because of this.

It sounds like we are/were in the same boat, and you may have to deal with some wider wires for a bit while breast tissue migrates to the front. Have you tried Panache Envy, Jasmine, or Clara? I'd also suggest trying the Panache Sierra, though good luck as it's discontinued. All of those have not terribly wide wires and higher gores with extremely strong but flexible lace. In theory, a combo of higher gore and flexible lace would do what you need the bra to do.
I def think a Comexim in a higher gore and lower cup height and possibly a cup size up would be worth pursuing. If that doesn't work, EM has some models with higher gores (S, SM, BM).
-
Envy is too shallow, but had lift. Hurt to wear and kept rubbing the front of my armpits. Jasmine is close but I didn't like the shape and the side wires hurt. Haven't tried a Clara, yet.
I do have an exchange coming of EM bras, but I didn't like my shape when I tried BM, it was lumpy along the seams. I do have hope for the SM, S and CHP. I get along decently with the CHP, but gore still doens't tack... I do have a Kris Line coming via Zulily too.
I did add the other bras, so you can see how I look in a 85K plunge. I really think that might be the answer with reduced cups and a slightly higher gore.

helpfulComexim doesn't work for everyone. I think this is about as good a fit as you're going to get out of it, not that i think it's terrible. If you end up loving it despite the issues and want to reorder, I'd do higher gore for sure, but I wouldn't reduce the cup height despite the tallness. I think you need all the coverage you can get here.

I have now officially given up on plunges. Comexim is not going to be a brand for me, unfortunately. My next step is an EM S. And eventually a SM as soon as my exchange processes.
-
After wearing the plunges with the extender for two days I have decided that plunges are not for me and that Comexim will not be a brand for me. It makes me sad, but that's the way the boob goes.
I just wish I knew what would work for me.

Yeah, it's too bad. Just a word of warning that I was really surprised how low the gore was on my S -- it may be that I needed a size up, but even so, it was lower than I expected. I always figured if her bras can hold agata's (the 32K model) boobs then they can handle mine -- but actually her models' boobs all deal with lower gores really well...unlike mine and yours. Still def worth a try! Just a heads up if you hadn't tried that style already.

helpfulMy gore pictures, and buckling were not approved, so maybe I can host them on another site, if it's necessary for fit help.

Sorry about that, yes I rejected them because they were for a black bra.
We ask that bras get added separately, so each bra will have its own pictures:
http://www.bratabase.com/help/uploadingpictures/#I-have-two-bras-exactly-the-sameIf you want to include the pictures of your black bra, you can always include the link of that bra in the text of your fit request, so others can look at it.

Done. Thanks for letting me know. ^_^

helpfulit's horrible fittin that I ever seen in comexim 85J in Black basic seems good on you except but the gore doesn't sit on your sternum if you want to stick to comexim you def need to try other size in other customized design however I recommend you try other brand.

Horrible fitting is actually a Freya Deco. Or any other seamless. And the black and tan fit pretty closely. I used the tan so the issues would be clearer. The only bra I have found to sit on my sternum is an Eloni plunge. Too tall, I spill over and I have lower quadding near the gore.

The side tissue is back fat actually because the band is FIRM. It was lessened a bit by an extender. I also get it in true 38 bands too. I checked the marks after I took the bra off and they are almost perfect to the root when I raise my arm.
