Issue resolved
This bra will not work well for me because the wires are too narrow and the cups are not deep enough.
Original problem
Hello Ladies,
I have some empty space at the bottom of my cups. I think this might be because I have a wide root. I have tried to bend the wire to make it wider but as you can see it didn't solve the problem. I bent it about 1.3 inches from the original width. Does anyone have any solutions or bra suggestions? I like the shape that the bra gives me, but I hate how the bottom of the cup puckers. Thanks for help!

helpfulIf you have truly wide roots most of Freya is never going to be a fantastic brand for you, although the Deco Soft Cup (non-wired) is worth a try in 34G... when there is no wire, usually you don't have to worry about width. However, you generally will be better off with brands that offer designs that are actually intended to fit your shape! As you've observed Parfait is made for a wider root shape in general, so I would try more Parfait bras for sure. As long as you can comfortably wear a 34 and above, you also have access to Elomi, which is known for wide wires.

Good luck! some people find that due to their build or to some breast tissue that is JUST in the wrong place, they need to either look for bras with wires that end quite low on the outside, or get DIY and bend shorten the wires themselves. For your sake though I hope you will find that this problem doesn't occur with all bras. Brands that use softer wires which easily "pull back" when worn (i.e. normal tension on the band is enough to make the outer end of the wire get pulled out to make a straight like) helps the wire effectively avoid any breast tissue that is under the armpit.

helpfulIs it just me or are the wires sitting too low? It look more like orange on a plate than orange in a glass to me.
Edit: Maybe the wires are too narrow (which pushes them down) AND the cup is too shallow or too small. Breast tissue can spread horizontally and vertically. Yours may do so horizontally, but not much vertically?
(Please forgive me if I say nonsense. I am new here)

helpfulSo empty space at the bottom of the cups usually means that the bra is too shallow for you. Bending the wires to make them broader is going to make things worse. Also, the Freya Deco Plunge was made for people with tall roots and you might have shorter roots. Try to find a bra that is more projected and has shorter wires. You may have to find a Comexim or Avocado bra.

If I find a bra with more projection will I lose the rounded shape? I have a wide root, my tissue starts about half way into my armpit, so I definitely need a bra with wide wires. But I might have bent this one a bit too far. Before I bent the wire there was a "pocket" at the bottom of the cup. After I bent it pulled the bottom of the cup tight against my sternum and created that "ramp" that you see (I really don't know what else to call it)... The Casey Plunge by Parfait works very well with me, but I had to alter where the strap meets the cups because it rubbed. The top part of the cup is obvious now under anything thinner than a sweater.

Thanks for the suggestions! The Parfait Casey bra is borderline acceptable but I'll see if they offer anything better. When I take the bra off I can see the indentation from the underwire and it is on the beginning of the tissue under my armpit... I'll take a look into Elomi too. It's very strange how .3 inches in wire width can make such a difference, but it does! Thanks again.
