Issue resolved
Keeping it, though its got its issue. That in-cup quad boob got worse after first wear
Original problem
So, this bra was recommended to me as a rounded, immediate projection option. And overall, i think it accomplishes that.
The band is VERY stretchy - I'm tempted to put it at the second hook and its brand new, so thats a tad disconcerting.
But the real problem is that, imo, the lace panel on the top half of the cup is just not really well integrated in to the bra.
I'm not the only person whose noticed this - I had another user say that they got a weird in-cup quad boob look. In one of my pictures you can see it very clearly - because the lace is not as firm as the other fabric, my boob pushes the lace out really hard at the seam there. It only happens on my bigger boob (but I'd previously ordered this in a 34HH, and that was just clearly all over too big).
The lace is also too loose on top - and again, another user said she had that same problem. Its not bad on my bigger side, but on my smaller side you can clearly see the lace is gapping and folding along the top. But the lace is so soft, its not really visible under a shirt.
This bra is very close to perfect. Its round, its high, its cute, its not particularly painful. But the band is a little loose and that lace panel is just . . . below par, structurally.
However, after several times back and forth trying to use up a credit at bare necessities and having to pay shipping both ways, I think it fits well enough to keep.
Any thoughts?

helpfulI would say this is a keeper, even though it's not perfect. You can try gently stretching the seam on the side causing issues, just wet it and give a gentle pull. If the loose lace is bothering you, it's easy enough to tack it in place. I had to do that on my Ellis once I started losing weight. Just ease/fold under the lace to the edge of the cup by the strap and give it a few stitches. It should lay flatter like that. It is pretty annoying to not have something fit perfectly right off the bat but I think this looks pretty darn good and those are easy fixes.

helpfulIt doesn't look like a too bad overall fit to me at all. The decision whether to keep it or not is up to you.
My advice would be to put on a tight T-shirt and see how it looks. If the in-cup-quadboob and the wrinkly lace are invisible under the shirt, I would keep the bra. If it shows through and bothers you, rather don't keep it.Updated on November 5, 2014 Flag this

I did that when I washed it, and I'll do it again. But i really think the material is not strong enough to handle the stress. Esp now that I have my floris which fits like armor!

helpfulI have the same issue with this bra. I fixed it by tightening the tension of the lace panel so that it would no longer bubble. However this makes the cup a smidge smaller so now I bubble out the top of my larger side if i'm not careful. I still wear it all the time anyway, just not to my job as a bra fitter
Make sure after you scoop that you adjust yourself all the way into the bottom of the cup by pulling the cup upwards on your body (and maybe shaking). If you love the bra, consider modifications to make it more wearable:
-either alter the cups to eliminate the bubbling OR wear with a camisole, specifically a smoothing/shaping camisole
-alter the band. Even if it were tighter, it has only two hooks so will stretch out on you almost immediately. Replace the two-hook closure with a 3 or 4 hook closure (or have a seamstress do it)

Thanks - i'm not a seamstress at all! I'll wear it for a while and see how it goes. I wonder when they will get some more colors in this? What other Panache models are closest to the Marcie?
-
It's coming out in black & beige in February. I had the quality issue with the red but not the blue, so maybe it will be better in the new colors.
The Marcie has lots of sister cuts that you can look up. I think Panache Floris is also the same cut. Jasmine/Envy are not, but they give a similar shape.

The envy I had projection issues with - the wire pushed down too low and hurt. i like it other than that, tho
-
but that makes me really want to return the jana and wait and use the credit for another color marcie!!
-
So the Floris is not the same shape - but it IS on sale in purple on amazon for $40 in a 32J, which I think would be the right size for me in that model (it runs shallower than the marcie, according to the measurements) I wear a 32J in the Envy

Try stretching the middle seam of the bra when it's wet (e.g., during the next wash). This helped me in the past as well when I was dealing with that issue.
