Issue resolved
Definitely not the right shape for me.
Original problem
I love this bra's look a ton, but I think the gaping at the top of the cups is caused by my short roots. The straps are also a bit into my armpits, which is a bit irritating. The wires are also a touch tall, with no room to slide them in the channel to reduce that. Does anyone have suggestions for a better style? I love my Panache Envy, but I'd like something in a t-shirt bra for work.

helpfulFor short roots and t-shirt, the Freya Deco Half Cup may work (not the plunge, that is taller). I tried it in 36FF and felt the cups did not come up very much.
I'd also try out the Cleo Maddie. You may have to try different sizes on that, though. I thought it rand small in the band and perhaps also the cup.Updated on March 12, 2015 Flag this

helpfulThe most prominent "short roots" bra I can think of is the Cleo Lily. Freya also makes some for short roots (as well as Curvy Kate) but I can't think of the names of the styles off the top of my head.

sinstralpride the Cleo Lily is for: short roots, projected, and neither FOT nor FOB.

helpfulThe porcelain is definitely not for short roots, I have short roots and it is hard to find a bra. Curvy Kate Carmen is good for short roots but it is most definitely not a T-shirt bra. I have been told to look for Freya half cup padded styles, maybe that will work for you as well.

helpfulThis is not just a short root issue - I have quite long roots and the Panache Porcelain bras don't work for me either. The Porcelain range is just really, really high-coverage.
The Cleo Maddie is a halfcup shape and it worked for me pretty well. It's shallow so I don't know how/if would work for your shape. Try your regular cup size +1 and perhaps even +2 sizes up.
Have you ever tried the Freya Deco Plunge? I think this one might work for you too, as it's not as high-coverage as the Porcelain, and more projected than the Maddie.Updated on March 13, 2015 Flag this

helpfulThe straps in the underarm area is a huge issue for me with Panache and Cleo They are much too wide for my frame (I think). The best thing I've been able to do is soften the fabric with a few washings. Also, like everyone else, try the Freya!

Saskia_C Thanks for the rec! I'll definitely have to check that out. Do you know if it's projected or shallow?
