Issue resolved
Going up in the cup about 2 sizes.
Original problem
This is my first Comexim, and I think the cup size is too small, but I can't tell. I'm getting quad boob and orange in a glass. The band, however, fits perfectly! Should I try going up one, or maybe even 2, cup sizes? And try a 60J/K?

helpfulI think one cup up would suffice. As is, it's definitely too small. You can notice the quadding shows through with clothing. It would be one thing if you had slight quadding as is, but, for me, it's a deal breaker if it shows through clothing. Otherwise, looks great! I'm glad the 60 band works well for you!

Is it possible the wires are just a little too narrow for your breast tissue? I think photo #5 shows a little tissue behind the top of the wire on your side. If that's the case, it may be the cause of your orange-in-a-glass issue. But going up a cup size may resolve that problem too.

Yes! The wires definitely felt a bit narrow. Maybe a 60K would be better? Guess it depends on the model too. But everything about the bra just felt too small (except the band).
-
if they have a decent return policy, maybe try a J and a K, and keep the best one. : )
-
That's a great. Idea! If I can afford it, lol! I'm not sure, but I think Comexim has a pretty decent return policy. I'm just not sure if it's worth all the trouble, and dear lord, the WAIT! It took forever and a day to get this one delivered (apparently there has been a back-up/delay in customs in NY?). I'll have to look into it, cuz the bra itself is so pretty!!
-
Yes, someone had talked about the bad weather earlier having something to do with extended delivery times. So now, things may get to you faster with the warmer weather! : )

YES! OMG! What a nightmare! I STILL haven't gotten my EM bra that I ordered well before my Comexim. But its finally here, just have to pick it up at the post office tomorrow. It def should be MUCH quicker this time around! Lol!

helpfulI would go up 2 cup sizes...My bras looked exactly like that when I was wearing a 32FF while I should have been wearing a 30HH. The top of the cup is much too low on you right now, and the bottom of the cup is also not deep enough for you. The two cups should provide enough fabric for your breasts to fit into the whole cup, as well as to cover the whole top. properly.
This is a great shape for you, though! It's gonna look really good in the right size. I would definitely stay with this style.

Thank you! I did feel like the wires were just a bit too narrow, but I think going up in the cup will help with that. I actually thought she accidentally made reduced cups for me on this bra (I asked for the gore height to be reduced) because they seemed so short! And WOW! You were wearing a FF when you're really in a HH?! What an amazing difference that must've felt like for you!
-
Haha, yeah, way off right?!
-
I deff suggest the two cups though because each cup only goes up by 2cm which is only .75 inches

Oh I know! My whole life I wore a 34 band size before learning I'm really a 26/28!! I never understood why I was having the same fit issues all the time and I just thought bras were supposed to be uncomfortable! Lol! I never even knew they made bands smaller than a 32! But thank you, that's very useful info!! I def didn't know that. I think I'll try going up 2 cup sizes then.
-
Yes, I definitely agree. I didn't say it before, but the bra really gives you nice shape. The right cup size should make you look GREAT!! :)
-
Thank you :) I really wish I could figure it out! Lol!! I'm not sure now if I should try a 60K or 65J. I think the 65 band might have the wider wires I need and just the right depth, but the band will prob be a bit on the looser side. The 60K might be too tight tho and distort the wires. Ugh, decisions decisions....Lol!
-
Yes, I know it's a decision! I suppose the 65J might give you a little wider wires, but my concern about it is the same you have. It looks like the 60 band is PERFECT for you! I would hate to have to compromise on it. If you can afford it, it would be a faster process for you to order more than one size, try them all, and pick the best one. Otherwise, unless you are lucky enough to pick your perfect fit the first time, you will have to make more than one purchase and return. : P
-
Yes, that's true. It would be much easier to have a couple different sizes to try on all at the same time, then I can compare and see which one fit the best. It's SO hard figuring out your size on your own! Lol! And now the more I browse around, the more I want a Basic (in champagne), but I've heard they run small. I'm gonna confuse the Bejeezus out of myself!! Lol!

Ok; NOW you're shooting at a moving target! ;D

helpfulIs it just me or is the wire sitting really low under your breast? It also looks like you band is distorting the wires? Obviously the cup is too small looking in this but it looks like it could also be too tight band that's messing everything up.

It could be. I'm not really sure. But I love how snug the band fits, it's one of VERY few I can actually hook on the first set of hooks. And i didn't have to struggle or anything to get it on. My ribcage measures 26/26.5" but this bra only stretches to 27.5" and that was pretty much when the wires started to distort. So it's really close! If anything, I'll try going up in the cup and get an extender. But that would make sense, and explain the awkward fit/orange in a glass! Thank you!
-
I don't think the band is at fault here--the wires are sitting far from the boob underneath but that's because the cups are way too small. When it's an issue of the tight band pulling on the wires, the wires angle out on the side. Here the external end of the wire is still nice and vertical.
I might also try 2 cups up. You are only quadding a little due to the firmness of your breasts but trust me, if you were soft, this would be a "my quadboob has quadboob" situation.
-
Thank you! I agree, as well. If the quad boob shows thru clothing, it's a no-go for me. I wasn't sure why I was getting orange in a glass either. Is that also from the cup being too small? I think I'm gonna try a 60J next. It's just hard to see on yourself sometimes, I wasn't really sure. Thanks for your help!!
