Bra fitting help » Should I a bra that's a little too big but otherwise good?
Splendid » Essential Stripe T-shirt Bra (2108SWF) » 32C 32:3
Issue resolved
I decided to keep it because it's cheap. Although I don't see myself wearing it forever
Original problem
This bra doesn't fit because the cups are lightly too big. However, it's great because the band is comfortable and not too loose, it lifts my breasts, and looks good under a tshirt. This is something I really don't have with my current bras. Should I keep it or return it? Does anyone have any suggestions on sizes, too?

helpfulAll cups gape when you hunch your shoulders. I don't believe this is too big at all. It actually looks a bit small for you, insofar as the top of the cups are cut too narrow (the straps are kind of cutting a vertical groove in your upper breast tissue, which looks to continue almost to the collarbone). I think you can do better in terms of finding a shape that contains all your breast tissue. Have you taken a look at the shallow molded Cleos, like Neve, Jude, Maddie or Juna?

helpfulIf its better than anything you own, and you want it - buy it! You can continue to look for better bras, and you will find better bras, but if this is thrilling you - enjoy it. the first bra I bought from a fitter turned out not to be my best-fitting for very long, but i loved it at the time
Have you tried any 30 bands yet?

helpfulI think the wires are too narrow, you see the dink at the top of the outer underwire, it is pressing into breast tissue. Have you tried any shallow style 30Ds?

I agree with wendybien that you may want to try smooth cup, shallow friendly Cleos. Cleo Neve and its replacement Cleo Koko are also plunges, like the Splendid bra you have here. I do like the color of this one. If you love it and it's comfortable and the shape please you, why not keep it? You can always keep trying new bras and round out your collection gradually.
While you have a lot of breast tissue going up pretty much up to the collarbone, your tissue may not need a cup to contain more of it. One tricky fit area for shallow breasts is the sides, under your arms. Do you feel the breast tissue under your arms--not your Tail of Spence--is contained? If so, and your tissue is firm enough not to need higher coverage cups, rock it.
