Issue resolved
I think I'm going to try the 28D Panache Tango Accenti Balconnet Bra, freya deco non wired, or maybe the cleo lucy. I got a lot of suggestions and they should help me out!
Original problem
This is my second fitting help question today, sorry. So This bra also sits way too low below my breasts I think, that or its sitting in the right spot and my breasts just don't fill it out all the way because there's a gap in the bottom. It feels like the gore and the rest of the underwire is constantly riding up and it's irritating my skin, so I try to pull it down throughout the day, much like every other bra I own. I don't even know if I'm adjusting the straps right because no matter what I do to them I still constantly get that feeling.
On the outside it looks fine though, but it does leave red marks when I take it off. I just don't know what to do, if a 30d doesn't fit well/is too big which I really do think it's too big, then how come my measurements come out to 28e. I mean the gap could be because my breasts are shallow I guess and the fat is mostly on the sides and kind of at the bottom. But I just don't understand why this is happening.

helpfulI think the issue here is that you have a natural shape which is very uncommon for your size range: your breasts are narrow and projected, AND they are quite separate. This means many of the bras in your size aren't designed for someone with your shape. You aren't dumb or bra-challenged, you are just an outlier in terms of boob shape
Being very lean, you may also find that this shape incompatibility makes underwires truly more trouble than you want to deal with day to day. Fortunately we are in the middle of a big nonwired trend so there are more and more nonwired molded designs coming out. I would try some of these, e.g. Freya Deco nonwired and see if that can be a comfortable everyday solution while you continue (if you so desire) to hunt the unicorn a.k.a. wired bra that is nice and narrow/projected in your size.

helpfulOn paper, this bra should be perfect for you, so I understand your frustration! I recently got this bra in 28D and I do notice that the fit is a lot different from other bras I have owned. It is also the first bra in my "correct" size that fits me. Mine is the 5675 model, I don't know how it's supposed to be different from the 5679 you have here, but it looks like yours gives a more rounded shape while the one I have is pointy.
I'm not too concerned about red marks with a brand new bra, but you can go up a band size if it's too uncomfortable to get through the day during the break-in process. Unfortunately I don't think this bra comes in a 32C so you might have to just break this one in or temporarily use an extender. Even though this bra is a "30" band it is probably a lot tighter than your other "30" bras because it is newer and maybe even because the fit is actually better.
When I first started wearing bras where the gore made good contact on my sternum I could not stand the way it felt! This only lasted about a month or two as the bras broke in and I got used to the feeling. It is similar to if you never wear glasses and then you have to wear them, it's just weird for a while until you get used to it.
The feeling of this bra is further pronounced because of the fabric. Lace has a lot more roughness to it than other fabrics, so I think you'll find less irritation in other bras that fit about the same.
When you take the bra off, are the wire marks way below your breasts? That would be a good way to see if it's just the way the bra feels of if there really is a gap on the bottom. I get a similar feeling from this bra but the wires are sitting where they should so I don't worry about it.
To me, it looks like this bra does fit you perfectly. I think you should also look into getting a Cleo Minnie or Izzy because that is also a well-fitting bra for me and I think we are similar in shape, but the fabric is solid and the bra feels a lot different. I go up a band size and down a cup size in Cleo for a comfortable fit or stay with the same size as I am in the Andorra if I want a painful break-in process. Which I don't, lol.
Edit to add: I just bought a 28D - Panache » Tango Accenti Balconnet Bra (7331) that seems like it might be perfect for you comfort and fit wise. It is just a little bit big on me. I found it online at the Lingerie Outlet Store.

helpfulFirst thing I would do is take off the necklace, or turn it backwards.
What I do when I bra doesn't automatically sit on my informatory fold is pull my skin below my bra down while holding the top of the cup. That helps it get as high as it needs to be. Then I pull tissue from my armpit into the bra by holding the cup out a little and then sticking your hand into the bra and pulling the tissue towards the center of your chest. Doing both of those things should help get a better wire placement. This bra look really good overall to me though. The slight puckering on the side might mean you have the straps too tight, but try pulling the bra up before adjusting the straps too much.
This bra is for average roots and even shape, if you still can't get it to stick to your IF then you should try the Cleo Lucy in 30D/DD! It's for more full on bottom shapes which might be the problem you have in this bra. It isn't very shallow though, so if you think you have spread out tissue then maybe try Freya Deco Softcup in 28DD/E or 30D/DD because that's for more shallow, full-on-bottom shapes.Updated on April 22, 2015 Flag this
