Bra fitting help » small gap at top on one cup does it fit?
Bravissimo » Satine Bra (AU15) » 32GG 32:10
This bra is the most comfortable bra I own at the moment,(have lost weight) but there is a small gap at top of cups, this is a common problem for me. It seems that the gap is at top of cup on larger breast which is strange

helpfulThat type of gapping is actually a common issue in your size range. The shape and height of the upper cup doesn't exactly match that of your breast, that's all. If it doesn't bother you comfort-wise and isn't visible under clothing I would not worry about it

Well anyone of any size will get gapping in a molded or somewhat thick lined cup if the cup doesn't match their boob shape, but it's true that if you have heavier and more projected boobs, it's just more obvious when the outer corner gapes, because the weight of the boob pulls that part of the bra straight and it stands away from the body a bit. Also, as you go up in cup sizes, you run up against the issue of bra designers thinking "this is a big boob, it's obviously gonna be a tall boob too so let me make this bit extra tall for good tissue containment!" which is true for some people but not for all. My boobs get a lot taller when I'm bigger/heavier/pregnant'lactating BUT as I have zero tissue on the 3 inches below my collarbone, a cup that's tall there will have nothing to contain and will gape.
It is just wild how different colors can run different in band and even cups. So irritating!

helpfulSome companies size up in part by making the cup taller, but some womens breasts grow outward without growing taller - so the cup is too tall. Half cups are often better for that issue, or just shorter cups - for example, my 80M - Comexim » Coco (381) is way too tall but my 75JJ - Ewa Michalak » S Granatowa Pantera is shorter (well, except I do need a pad on my smaller side)

That explains a lot, I am going to take wild guess that it is mostly men who are involved in bra design!! lol I have looked at Ewa Michalak bras but I can't work out the sizing compared to UK sizes.

The sizes are very similar to UK - she even lists her bands in both UK and EU sizes. I wear a band size larger in her models, tho, because some of her bands run super-tight, and (at least in my size) she has 4 sets of hooks, so it works out mostly.
But right now I'm on my PMS bras (slightly larger second half of my cycle) - which include:
a 32JJ jasmine,
2 75(34) J Ewa Michalak BM styles (which are unlined with stretchy upper cup, like the Jasmine, but a more natural, less projected shape - sister sized to go up a band because I had one BM that was too small in the band
2 Ewa Michalak S styles in a 75/34 JJ - because her lined models run a size smaller - the lining takes up about a cup size - for most ppl. at least one person says she wears the same size in padded and unpadded - I think she was very firm and a smaller cup range, so she could just float above teh cup without falling outanyways, you could always see if there are any used EMs in around your size for sale here to try
The big thing is, the cup volumes measure much smaller on EMs, so you cant go by that . . . supposedly part of it is because her cups are even narrower than panache, so there is less wasted space, but i also think its because they are shorter? Idk.

Thank you, that is something I didn't know about gapping,is this to do with gravity on bigger cup sizes? I know that the increase in my breast size after having children and breastfeeding has meant I have this is problem which I didn't have before :(
I have just tried the exact same bra today in a nude colour and it is a lot bigger in the cups, think black bras for some reason come up smaller , must be dyeing process.
