Too shallow
Original problem
Here we go... this is wide enough, but too shallow. The side pics don't look too bad, but it's obvious from the front pictures. For my overly long winded semi-rant about my shape in general, refer to this: http://www.bratabase.com/adventures/entry/7601/
So with my wide roots and boobs, but being FOB, where do I go next. I'm only shallow on top, not on bottom. I can't fill out something that's going to ask for a lot of fullness on top. I prefer at least semi-molded cups as my skin can't stand any unlined cup I've ever tried and because my shape is so sloping & FOB, I need lift and roundness from my cups.
I absolutely LOVE the lift and shape I get from this bra. I've never looked so perky in my life. But the wire does not sit where it should at the bottom.

helpfulSo you need immediate projection, NOT FOT, wide wires. and prefer seamless, but that seems hard to find in any sort of unusual shape. Have you tried any demi-cups?

Ok, so I just put my Juna on again and tried to ignore all the overspill. It has enough immediate projection at the bottom. That's all that works for me about it lol. I need to go up at least a cup size maybe 2 in it and hope the wires are wide enough, but it's one I'm actually adding back on to my "to consider" list. See... sometimes just talking things out in posts on here helps!

Being too narrow is no fun, though. I hear it can hurt to have wires sitting on top of boob flesh. I have one bra where the wires are so snug against the side of my boob i'm not entirely sure its not to narrow, but everything else is clearly wider than I am, so I dont have personal experience there.
I'm not very knowledgeable but hopefully someone will have an idea for a bra which comes in a 28 band, is wide, has immediate projection and is friendly to shorter or shallow-on-top breasts
-
It is painful to have them too narrow. If I pull the the cups together in the front to enclose my entire inner fullness, then the outer edge of the wire sits on breast tissue but if I pull the outer edges to where they need to be then the gore pokes into the inner edges of my breast. I definitely need bottom projection and room for inner fullness but wires wide enough to accommodate everything.

Cleo Marcie (+ sister cuts) and Cleo Lucy/Kali are worth a try. A 30 band will suffice, though. These both run super tight and can become very uncomfortable when worn too tight.
Marcie is open on top (but not too much), works great for FoT/even shapes, Lucy/Kali is great for FoB and will cut in if someone is FoT. Different colors of the Lucy fit differently so check out reviews on Bratabase before you order.
/edited to add:
I just saw you ruled out unlined bras, but have you ever even tried unlined bras by Cleo? They provide GREAT uplift and shaping, much better than most padded/moulded bras I've tried. -
She'd tried Juna, which I thought was in the same family? and I was told marcie ran tight, so I went up a band size, but the Raspberry Marcie is so stretchy, I have to wear the 32, my usual band, on the middle hook. So maybe yellow and blue marcies ran tight, but the newer ones do NOT

I haven't ruled out unlined bras, I just haven't found one that provides the overall lift and shaping I need, and that is soft enough not to irritate my sensitive skin. I've looked at the Marcie, Minnie, Lucy measurements and I need wires at least 5.6" wide, and those sizes are in the G-GG range and the cup depths are overwhelming, IIRC. Will look again though.
Juna in a 28 band worked well band-wise and was not too shallow on bottom. The cups were way too narrow though in a FF. I have considered trying Juna or Maddie in a G. The only 30 band I've tried that wasn't too big was the coral color Neve, which is very tight for a 30 band.

Did you see Wendy's suggestion on your other post? Wendy is very knowledgeable.

Yes I did! Thanks!

Wow, how frustrating! (There right now myself, ha.) We have similar size & issues, as well as the same wants in our bras. Not sure where you can go from here (will try to remember to keep you posted on Freya Patsy, which has *some* shaping, when I try it in larger sizes), but you do seem to be getting good advice, so eventually something has to work, right? Mostly I'm trying to encourage you in a roundabout way and not succeeding...but keep trying!
That said, I've been tempted to come up with my own line of lingerie...

> he'd tried Juna, which I thought was in the same family?Marcie and Juna? No, definitely not. Marcie = unpadded Balconette, Juna = padded Halfcup.
I totally agree on what you say about the raspberry Marcie running stretchier than the previous ones. It's always a good idea to check out the reviews prior to ordering, because different fit in different colors is ALWAYS an issue. Raspberry is the only exception to the "Marcie fits tight"-rule so far, though.

But who knows what was up w the black and beige ones.
I wore my marcie again yesterday and the in-cup quad is clearly visible through a woven top. i hate that I really cant wear it

helpfulso just randomly saw this listing and thought - this might actually fit you? she says its too wide for her. Imean, the band is slightly small tho . . . http://www.bratabase.com/listings/dls9s/

I saw that! The band would be slightly tight at first, but I have extenders in every color. The 9.8" depth seems a bit excessive to me. I am awaiting the arrival of a Deco Hatty 28G from another BTB user. I don't expect it to be a perfect fit due to Deco's tendency to want upper fullness, but it'll be the deepest bra I've tried so far. Depending on its depth measurements and if it's too big and by how much, I'll be making more decisions based off it :-) I definitely have my eyeballs on that listing.

What do you mean "hard to find in unusual shape...?" Like I'm finding it hard to find, or my shape is unusual? lol yes. I'm finding it hard to find.
Demis. Well... I wore a ton of demis from VS before I got into the proper bra size. They were more full coverage on me than a demi like in the models' pics. VS bras really seemed to work for me (ignoring the way too big band), but quite frankly I never paid attention to the shallowness of the bottoms of the cups, and now I've sold most of them. Do any examples come to mind?
I despised the 28FF Juna I tried so much that I ran away from the balconnette style completely, but I wonder if I shouldn't. Maybe I need balconnettes, demis, or half cups. Maybe I should look for a Juna or Maddie in a 28G or GG. I'm looking back through my Juna pictures now, and I don't seem to have this bottom-wrinkling problem. However, the danged thing was so freaking narrow it was just bad from the start and I popped out of every side, top and corner of that bra. Maybe a larger cup would be wide enough, or at least wide enough to be tolerable.
I don't need totally seamless, although a great, soft T shirt bra would be fantastic. But I do prefer my cups to have some structure and uplift, since my own boobs do not.
