Bra fitting help » can't fill top of cup
Marks & Spencer » Youthful Lift Floral Lace Non-padded Full Cup Bra Dd-h (T334707) » 34F 34:7
Issue resolved
As this is such a comfy bra(even though it looks awful!) I have decided to keep it, have so few bras that actually fit me!
Original problem
This bra has always gapped a bit at top but have lost weight recently and now there is a lot of wrinkling at top. Feels comfy. I think if I tried to go down a cup size it would be too small at bottom of cup and cut into breast tissue at side. Is this bra shape just not good for me?

helpfulIt's definitely possible that as you lose weight, the shape of your breasts change as you are losing overall volume. If you have listed your shape as being FOB, definitely check out the bra styles that are commonly known to cater to FOB shapes. As for sizing, try staying with 34F at first and then if all the 34F bras that cater to FOB shapes have too much overall volume then go down to 34E.

helpfulI don't think this bra is a bad shape for you at all (full cup, high coverage styles are usually more forgiving and adaptable to different shapes as long as they're not foam/padded, because the edge of the cup is meant to go above the full part of the breast and does not need to conform to the exact breast shape). I just think you are at that awkward stage between sizes--it looks like it is still a decent fit on your larger breast but too ample for the smaller one. Since it's best to always fit your larger breast I'd agree with you that sizing down would be a bad idea.
We tend to lose breast height rather than width as we lose weight so if you lose a lot more weight, you will probably need to reassess which styles of bra to buy.Updated on August 4, 2016 Flag this
Hi, thank you. I am not planning to lose any more weight so hoping now to start buying some bras that actually fit! Just find it a nightmare. I tend to stay away from moulded as you say as these are not very forgiving if you don't fit the shape of the cup. I have been told by well known Bra company based in UK (for bigger cups and smaller band sizes) to try half cup styles but that just doesn't feel like enough support or the sort of bra that I feel comfortable in for day time.
