Issue resolved
Decided the bra fits well
Original problem
When I first tried this on it seemed too wide but it's quite comfortable and gives a lovely natural shape under clothes. I'm not used to full cups because I find them hard to find to fit my FoB shape so maybe it's just a case of getting used to a different shape of bra. What do you think?

helpfulHow does the strap placement feel? Do you think they'll stay on your shoulders ok? Also, move your arms forward like you're grabbing for something - do the straps dig in a lot? The cup width looks ok for you, but I'm obviously questioning the placement of those straps…hard to tell from the photos.

I have the exact same problem with straps. If you don't think the straps will be bothersome, I'd say it's a good fit.

helpfulSo, seems to wide as in there is a lot of extra space on the sides under your armpit? For me, some extra space on the side is OK as long as the bra basically fits well other than that. Most of my bras have about an inch extra at the edge of the wire

I think the wires contain my tissue quite well and I'm not really noticing much space at the sides. The issue with the width is more to do with cup separation and whether the apex is in the right place. I've all but given on most UK brands (Freya, CK etc.) for this reason but in this bra it's a bit more borderline

Ok, on this site usually 'width' means the cup is wider or narrower than the breast tissue.
Cup separation is gore width - is the gore too wide or too narrow? I cant see it.
the apex . . . eh, not usually a huge deal. At least for me - I wear a 32J UK size, so there's really not that much for me to choose from. You have a lot more options. i just try to position my breast so the nipple is somewhere near where it should be. If it looks ok under clothes, its not a problem.
really if you like it, its comfortable, and you like the way it looks under clothing - its good. we can always find something to be picky about!

Thank you for clarifying that. I'm fairly new to this so my terminology might be a bit off sometimes!

but if gore is sitting on breast tissue, or poking it, that can be really painful, so do take that seriously. but again, sometimes bending wires can help

Yes, I am getting a bit of poking. I'll try bending the wires. Thanks

helpfulDo you feel like when you look down your boobs are pointing towards your pits? From the pictures I think the bra looks like it fit you nicely. Maybe bc its not creating cleavage it looks too wide too you? I get cleavage with all of one bra, so it isn't an issue that bothers me. But the east/west I can't handle

Yes, the photos are rubbish! Combination of bad light and dodgy phone. I can feel the straps under my arms but I wouldn't say they dig in too much - at least not after the 20 mins or so I've tried in on for - and they'll definitely stay put. Straps are almost always that wide on me even on much narrower bras.
