Issue resolved
I think it fits
Original problem
I had previously measured myself on reddit.com/r/abrathatfits's calculator and gotten 30E, had a Cleo Neve in that size that I liked but my current measurements suggest I should be in a 32 band (but only a D cup!). I think this fits, but I've yet to find a bra that I think is a perfect fit for me so I'd like an outside opinion.

helpfullooks like the top of the cup might be cutting into your underarm tissue, is it annoying or okay? that is the only thing i can see in the photos.
i know with this style bra the wings on me were too short, and the cup top cut in.Updated on February 6, 2015 Flag this

4rk4n4 you could prolly find a bra that is slightly more projected. The Cleo Maddie is known for being super shallow so maybe try to find something with average projection?
-
Saskia_C Newbie bra fitting me thought the Neve fit me well, which apparently also runs shallow, so that was intentional! Do you have any suggestions for bras that are slightly less shallow than the Maddie/better for average projection?
-
4rk4n4 actually, there is another possibility we should consider. If the Neve fits you but the Maddie doesn't, maybe you are shallow with a tall root. That means that although you are shallow, you have a lot of breast tissue that is spread out vertically on your chest. Also, the Neve runs small in the band and the cup. How does the band of your 30E Neve feel?
-
Saskia_C I wanted to post a fit check for the Neve as well to see if there was anything I'm missing (though somehow after losing weight and semi-frequent wear I know the band feels too tight, not sure how that works), but since I've had it for a few months I don't want to measure it/skew the stats for it not brand new and I can't read the tags to see all the info bratabase wants. Do you know if Reddit minds fit checks on used/stretched out bras or if that'd just not be helpful?
-
4rk4n4 Size and measurements are important but the way you feel matters the most. If you feel like the band is too tight then you can go up to a 32E with the Neve. If you find that the Neve's cup shape is the right thing for you, then we know that you will have better luck with bras that are for shallow and tall rooted people.

Saskia_C I just added pictures for my Neve, can you see them from my profile or how does bratabase work? D:
The Maddie feels better in the band but the Neve does have slightly less underarm overspill, even though that doesn't really bother me comfort wise. Is there a reason you'd recommend going from a 30E to a 32E instead of a 32DD? Like would a 32E reduce the overspill without gaping do you think? -
4rk4n4 actually now that I see the 30E Cleo Neve I think that 32DD in Cleo Neve would be the best way to go.

helpfulThat bra looks super pretty. It seems like it fits your shape from the photos but it's hard to tell cause it's a moulded bra. The great thing about wearing 32DD is that it is a bra matrix size so there are tons of brands that make your size. Including VS and Aerie.

helpfulDid you scoop & swoop when putting it on? http://brasandbodyimage.com/2012/09/05/putting-your-bra-on-properly/
If so, I'd say it fits quite well. Also, the Maddie runs small in the cups, which may explain why you can wear it in a DD not D.

I didn't notice it did that until you pointed it out! I tried to push the tissue back into the cups and it seems like tucking it in makes the straps feel too wide. It doesn't feel like its digging in at all when I don't tuck it in, so for an on sale bra from Amazon (It's only orange because that was the only color that was $17!) I guess it fits?
