Bra fitting help » narrow cups, requesting advice on next size to try
Cleo » Juna Balconnet Bra (6461) » 28DD 28:5
I think the band is perfect (finally!!).
The problem is that the cups are too narrow (i think). They are spaced good but just not wide enough. The wire is REALLY painful near my outer boob. I definetly need a wider cup, what size should I try next?
I think the cups fit pretty good, maybe slightly too deep but that could be because all the escaping fat from the narrow cups.
I'm getting closer to my perfect bra, just a long, expensive journey.
Please let me know what brands/sizes you think I should try next.

helpfulIf your underbust is 29.1" you can wear 30 bands too. The broadest and most shallow bras out there are: Natori Feathers 30D, Freya Deco Soft Cup/Half Cup/Strapless 28DD.
The Cleo Juna and Maddie are shallow and broad, but they are not as far apart spaced as some people need.

helpfulAgreeing with Saskia_C - the band on this one is too tight and the cups are probably too small (!) for you. Too small cups result in too narrow wires.
Remember that the lace on the Juna isn't meant to lay flat - you have to judge the fit of the cups without considering the lace part.If you wanted to try the Juna again, I'd suggest a 30DD. You could also check out the Darcy (same as Juna but with a tighter band) or Maddie (also similar to the Juna, but has lower wires at the center gore and it's molded). Maddie and Juna run slightly small in the cups (1/2 - 1 cup sizes); Darcy seems to be true to size.
By the way - I have similar underbust measurements to you (mine are slightly smaller) and I'm wearing a 30 or 32 band in most bras - 28s are all too tight for me. You can check out the bra list on my profile if you want to.Apart from that, I always recommend Libby's awesome list of bras that work well in the smaller size range. It lists the bras already recommended by Saskia, and several more. http://www.bratabase.com/adventures/entry/2346/

Thank you both! I ended up exchanging this for a 28F in the same bra (Juna). The band fit great (in my opinion) but the cups were not wide enough. I'll definitely report back with the results!

helpfulI agree that the Freya Halfcup style is wide and shallow. I'd also recommend Tutti Rouge as wide and shallow in general, especially the Liliana and Betty. My Betty is too small depth wise now in 30DD, causing quad boob, but the wires extend about 5/8" wider than my roots. I'm not sure if it was always too wide, or due to migration of tissue, I've become a bit more narrow in the roots. I've tried the Liliana on before, and the 28F was too shallow, but 28FF was over an inch too wide. I consider myself wide and shallow, but I think I've moved more towards the middle of width and projection over the last two years.
Another wide and shallow brand that comes to mind is Betsey Johnson Intimates. I used to wear the Stocking Stripes Demi and Eyelet Lace Demi, and they're both wide and shallow.

Also parfait had some shallow bras like Charlotte. And aerie has shallow bras and u can go there to try size. Another option is to figure out what worth bra cups u need and then up the band and lower the cup so like a 34b or c has very little projection but wider wires then a 28dd(e) or f then shorten the band to fit
