Bra fitting help » Should I keep this and wear it until it stretches.

Issue resolved
keeping it and will wear with an extender until it stretches out.
Original problem
I own this bra in 34B and absolutely loved it...until it stretched out to much. It got loose quick so I decided to purchase a 32C but this seems too tight (seems I've gotten a little too squishy). I tried it with an extender but as all extenders do, sets the straps too wide.
My question is should I
1) keep it and wear it with an extender until it stretches some
2) keep it and wear it without the extender
3) return it for another 34B

helpfulTo me it looks like the cups are too small. The band measures like it should fit you, so maybe you could exchange it for a 32D and see if that makes a difference.
It looks like your horizontal bust perimeter is a lot smaller then the cup depth of this bra, which leads me more to believe that the cup size might be making you think the band is too tight.
You could also try the bra on upside down and see if the band feels tight. If it feels better then you you should try the next cup size up and if it still feels tight you could try the next band size up.
I personally think opting for a smaller band size is best because then you can get more wear out of the bra once it stretches out.Updated on June 16, 2015 Flag this

I decided to wear the bra around for a bit with the extender, although the straps were set wider than normal I didn't experience any issues with slipping off my sloping shoulders. I wore it for a bout 2 hours performing all different types of daily activities and the only issue I had was the weird feeling of the straps sitting farther out on my shoulders than I'm accustomed too.
So I decided to keep it in anticipation of it stretching as the previous 34 band had. After my decision to keep it, I wore it for a whole day with the extender, by the end of the day it was fitting looser as is the case with most bras, but by then it was time to take it off for bed.

Sounds like a good way to go! I'm glad you found something that works for you!

helpfulHonestly this has got to be the most generic and widely made/available bra style in North America and for once you actually fit matrix sizing, so I don't see any reason you should stick with this particular design if the fit is not perfect in any of the sister sizes! Search for a similar style in another brand or line.

Thanks, you might think this is a widely available style, but it's hard to find a fuller coverage, non padded bra with a full band in a 34B/32C, most of them start at 34C. I've tried several others but wasn't happy with them until I got this bra in a 34B, comfortable and fit great, but it stretched out so quickly that it's useless now. That's why I tried the 32C.

What do you mean by full band? 2 rows of hooks?
-
The bottom part of the band goes all the way around under the cups, rather than where the band stops at each cup.

oh right!

I see quite a few on herroom in 32C. Are you very limited by price or other factors?
Just one basic example that comes in both 34B and 32C:

Price is a bit of an issue as is ordering on line, these Aerie bras are on sale at 60% off so they're costing $16 right now. Plus the Sunnie material is supper soft and not bulky, if that even makes sense, so it is perfect under light weight summer t-shirts.

Well, I too am a sucker for a good deal but it's not a good deal if the fit is problematic and you won't wear it! Most people can get by with an extender but if this really causes the straps to be too wide-set, idk how you can fix that. I would sooner advise someone to alter the band on the 34.

Thanks, I tried it in a 32D and it seemed like I could fit both boobs in one cup and the band still felt tight. I could go up to 34 as you suggested and I know it would fit great but my last 34 band in this bra stretched a lot and quickly, which is why I was trying a 32. I'd alter a 34 to a 33 if I had any sewing skills at all, but unfortunately I don't.
