Bra fitting help » Is the band so big that I should size down?

Issue resolved
Band isn't as snug as I like, going to alter it being as everything else fits well and I don't have any patience to wait for another one
Original problem
Band is super stretchy.
Probably should've gotten 65G in everything else and 65H in this one.In my review, I didn't notice thw band riding up. It's not severe, but it does, and I can easily fit more than a hand under it, on the last hooks.
The cups run small, so I sized up. The band was said to run small, but the band on mine runs more TTS.
Is 31" on a 29" underbust(need to update measurements) enough of a difference that I should re-order? :/
I'm so used to wearing 30's and stretchy 28's that it feels a little strange.
I'm also not sure if I should be posting the problems I have with the Joys as fit checks or adventures, being as I mostly know what's wrong and I really just want advice on what to do..so I apologize in advance if it would make more sense as an adventure >_<

helpfulThis one definitely looks like the width is better than in the longline! I wonder if that's due to the bigger band size. Hmmm.
In my experience, it could be hit or miss with a 65 instead of a 70 band. The Basic has a stretchy band but the others don't seem the same way from what I've tried, so it seems like the Joy is like..half a band size off, maybe? Am I crazy? I hope someone with more experience can chime in. The set looks adorable together, btw! : )Updated on June 25, 2015 Flag this

You could sew ribbon into the band elastic to keep it from stretching. I did this to an Ewa 75D to make it a 65E and it works great.
Nothing tops a bra that fits without having to mess with it, but if you don't want to wait for a new one, it's an option that won't ruin the bra. -
jlcl119 That's a great idea! Thank you :) I think I'll give that a try :)

helpfulI used to be more particular about how tight I wanted bands to feel, but after a few months of wearing +0 or +1, I realized I was much more comfortable in +2 or +3. To be more specific, my tight UB is right around 27" and at the moment, I prefer bands that stretch closer to 30". It's all about what feels comfortable and supportive to you.
If the loose band bugs the poo out of you, I would probably alter the band in some way like jlcl119 suggested. There's also a few tutorials for the different ways you can alter a band on the ABTF sidebar, if you're curious. I've gone the 'sew an elastic to the band' route and had success.
I don't know that I would reorder for the sake of a tighter band if everything else is passable, but it certainly wouldn't be unreasonable if that's not something you can overlook and you don't want to alter it.Updated on June 25, 2015 Flag this

Evadne I think altering sounds like a good idea. The band is really comfy, but I noticed it actually does ride up, which makes me worry about back pain.
I haven't worn it a full day, so I guess I can try and see if it becomes painful without altering. Thanks for letting me know where to find tutorials :) I'll look through them and see what seems best. The ribbon idea sounds really nice.
I really would rather not have to wait for another one to come, and the cups are perfect.
Altering really sounds like the best option here, which hadn't even crossed my mind. Thank you Evadne jlcl119 ^_^

Haha yeah! I couldn't figure that one out. The longline is 5.5" width wise, but this one is about 5.2-5.3", which actually made a lot of a difference on me.
I think in the future I'm going to go for 60 and 65, just because I think wearing an extender is the lesser annoyance. xD
And thank you! I really love the whole design :)
