Bra fitting help » Gap, FOT, loose band
Freya » Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) » 28E 28:6
Issue resolved
Not the right fit for me.
Original problem
So far I feel like this is the best bra I own, it's not perfect but it feels and I believe looks better than the others. I do feel like the band is loose, I can fit my whole hand and if I put it on the tightest hook it still fits very comfortably. I'm FOT but I do seem to have some empty space at the top of the cup so it gaps but if I put it on the tightest hook it kind of helps. Would it be because I need to adjust the straps or a tighter band? I feel like my breast tissues might not be staying in the cups. The gore fits very well. I don't know where I should go from here, I think I'll keep the bra since it feels more comfortable than my others for now.

helpfulSo that bra runs half a cup too large. I'm in between 28DD and 28E and the 28DD in this style is right for my size. Maybe try the 28DD and see what happens? That being said, it's still the best one you've had yet. I don't know which Freya styles will fit you better but I do know which ones to avoid: Deco Half Cup (too broad and shallow), Deco Soft Cup (too broad and shallow), Arabella/Ooh La La/Siren (for FOB types), Icon Moulded Plunge (for FOB types), Patsy Half Cup (too broad and for short roots), any of their longline balcony bras (too broad and for short roots).

If you feel like the Freya Deco Plunge is still too broad wired for you, you might not want another Freya bra at all. In 28E all the Freya bras that I know of are at least as broad wired as this one.
You might want to start looking at Polish bras. EM and Comexim have bras in 28E and 30DD that are narrower than the Freya Deco Plunge, although I cannot guarantee if they'll also work for tall roots and above average projection.

helpfulI think you have a tall root rather than being FOT - if you lean forwards your nipples would point to your feet if FOT, to the floor if even in shape. Your tall root may need more of a half cup shape, with suitable wire widths, most tend to be wide but you can find narrow, though I'm not sure you need narrower than this, the wire on your left looks only just wide enough, maybe even too narrow, but photos can be deceptive sometimes.

helpfulI think, if I were you, I would try a 26F. The cups seem to fit you well; the gore tacks nicely, and the wires seem to hit you in the right place on the sides. I think you have the straps tight enough; the band is nice and straight across; not too high or too low. If the right cup is a little too large, you could always pad a little on that side.

helpfulI'm not so good with the bra terminology, so I won't go into technicalities. What I can see though is that the cups are too big. You might consider sizing down in the same style or maybe try a style with thicker padding, if you'd like to go for a curvier look. http://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/ashlee-1001/
I don't think Freya carries bands below 28, but if you're not a fan of bra alteration, could try a @Rixie clip. http://www.rixieclip.com/Updated on April 6, 2015 Flag this
Saskia_C I wore it all day today, I feel like in some ways it's small for me, could be the shape of the bra maybe. I noticed it left marks on my skin and it seems that the wires are a bit too wide and it's actually below the inframammary fold
