Bra fitting help » Not filling bra in different areas when adjusting band, distorting tissue
Fantasie » Rimini Full Coverage Underwire (1010) » 30E 30:6
Issue resolved
Cup generally too large aside from depth. Too tall, incompatible shape
Original problem
This bra.
I hate this bra so much on me, and I'm going to sell it, but in the meantime I'd like some advice on what went wrong.
With the band pulled up higher, cups gape; with band pulled down, the lower half of the cups aren't filled.
This does literally nothing except lay fabric over my boobs.I also don't know what's going on with the side panels and my IMF. I have a weird shaped IMF, but usually it's rounded out in a bra. This bra seems like it isn't supportive at all, in that, when a bra supports and pushes my boobs up, I need about 5.3" wires. This leaves my boobs hanging and leaves the outer part needing....4" wires? By measurements, this should fit fine
Idk if the cup is just too big, band too stretchy, but just everything is terrible =x

Yeah, there has been a fair amount of discussion about that. Jj is hesitant because there are already so many measurements, he's afraid any more will turn ppl off from entering them at all

Dvrgrl812 I know right? It's super weird. 5" always work on me, and I don't think they look that narrow in the photos at all!
They don't even stretch with the band, but somehow look super wide. And yeah, I just double checked to be sure and lined them up with my other bras with 5" wires.
I don't understand it xD

helpfulThis cup design isn't for you, basically. It's a problem usually seen in larger cup size ranges: the wearer requires a lot of depth and has narrow roots, so when she tries to find a fit in bras that are designed with less-deep cups, she ends up sizing up to the point where, yes, sure, depth right around the most projected part of her boobs is fine, but everything else about the cup is too big--too wide and too tall. Since you're very projected you are encountering the same issue despite being in a smaller cup size range.

wendybien Ah that makes so much sense. Thank you :)

You're welcome. Also, today I just received a Fantasie with EXACTLY the same fit problem on me. Full price, not returnable. Grrrrr.

wendybien Aw, I'm sorry. I hate when things are non returnable! >_<

I think I beat it into submission today by using an extender, messing with the straps and bending the wires. The struggle was real though :-P

dbmamaz I hadn't actually thought of that, thank you! Maybe there should be a "cup height" measurement added on Bratabase :)
