Bra fitting help » Shallow w/ a large cup size? Having issues with my new size(s).

Issue resolved
Decided to explore the suggested brands to restock my bradrobe.
Original problem
This bra is very projected and I feel like I'm having trouble filling it correctly. It seems ok when I scoop/swoop but something is missing with the fit. I feel like it does nothing for my boobs.
While the band was a bit stretchy, even on the tightest hook (which fit snug) this bra seems off.
I've also had this problem with an Ewa Michalak Chp Marcepan bra. I felt like the cups were soooooo deep. And again, it seemed fine by conventional fit standards (smooth line at top, contains breast tissue on sides, gore sits flat, etc) but something just seemed off about what it was doing for my boobs. It seemed like they were being forced front and FORWARD, if that makes sense at all.
I've been having this issue a lot lately as my size has gone up (34F/32FF at beginning of year, now 34FF/32G/34G). It almost feels like my own projection is not catching up fast enough for these bigger sized bras.
But everywhere I've read about bra fit has said that shallowness is more of a "small size" issue and that larger F+ sizes need projection. Because isn't it true that the larger you go the more projection most bras have to be?
Anyway, if anyone could shed some light into this situation I'd appreciate it, because striking out 4 times in a row on used bras I can't return is getting absurd. Any brand recommendations (with very wide wires also) would be great.

helpfulEven if you increase size, the projection may not follow. I wear a 36f/ff and am pretty shallow myself. When I put tissue on it accumulates on the sides of my breasts instead of the apex.
I know you're not a Panache fan, but their cups are usually pretty wide. Have you tried the Porcelain? It's lightly lined. Andorra is also pretty wide.
Curvy Kate also has pretty wide wires, especially in older models like Gia. Did Starlet work out for you? If so, Smoothie should fit similarly and has about the same amount of lining.Updated on June 11, 2015 Flag this

helpfulSee my comments on your Bra Adventure on the main page also, but, I would say the main issue here (the discomfort you are feeling and the sensation of your boobs being shoved in a direction they don't want to go) probably reflects the fact that (a) it's a padded bra so a more rigid structure overall, and not the most comfortable if the cups' shape does not match your anatomy, and (b) you probably have tissue distribution which is incompatible with the bra's shape i.e. you have more tissue depth out to the sides and less at the center, whereas this bra is shallow on the sides and deeper at the center.
Basically a square peg/round hole type of shape mismatch.

This bra is lightly lined, not padded or molded. There is no stiffness to it and the cups are very loose fabric. I would agree that it is this specific bra causing my overall problem, but I have been having a harder and harder time finding lightly lined and unlined bras in my size, that are wide enough, without the copious projection. In fact, the bras that work best for me all happen to be molded or thickly lined. However, in the summer when it's 100+ degrees it is so much nicer on my skin to have something lightly lined or unlined, and therein lies the issue.

Cool to know someone near my size also has this problem. I've been thinking of getting some more unlined CK's because my Romance is the only unlined bra that I feel has actually looked good on me. I've been burned by panache so many times...
