Bra fitting help » 28B is wrong -- where do I go from here?

Issue resolved
Going to suspend my disbelief and try some 28Ds!
Original problem
I should have known better than to buy a 32, but it seemed to fit well in the store. After a few wears, the band has stretched out to where I'm wearing it on the the tightest hook. I don't quite fill the bottom and sides but that may not be apparent from the pictures. I haven't worn anything but TLBC (30B/C) for years except for a 30C Calvin Klein. Multiple bra calculators (the reputable ones, don't worry) have put me at a 28DD, which seems excessive. If I were to go in a 28 band direction, which models should I try? I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed by all the options I'm not super good with all this terminology yet, but I think my breasts are even to FoT and wide-ish spaced (I have a deep sternum - my breast tissue doesn't extend that far back into my armpits).

helpfulHi,
28DD is only 1 cup size up from you are currently wearing just with a tighter band, so it might not be as big of a leap as you think! Since you think you are full on top I would recommend trying Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) . If you can try it on in a couple of sizes. I would recommend 28DD and 28E as well as 30D and 30DD since Cleo run a bit tight.
If Marcie doesn't work, you might want to try Cleo Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851) and Cleo Lily Balconnet Bra (7351). Lucy is FOB shaped and Lily is even shaped

helpfulWith an 8" boob perimeter you are EASILY a 28DD, you will even require a 28E in some bras, if they run small.
Don't mistake shallow boobs for a scarcity of breast tissue. The tissue may be spread out more widely side-to-side and top-to-bottom but is there and if you're going to wear a bra it needs to contain your breast tissue, regardless of whether your boobs stick out far or not.

ETA good shallow shapes from Cleo include the Maddie, the Neve and the Juna. In Freya, look for the padded plunges, balconnets and longlines (they are not push-up padded bras--padded just means they are molded cup bras).

Thank you, I will definitely look into those! The weird thing is though, I'm not sure my breasts are all that shallow. Totally willing to be wrong about that! I guess I'm just a bit confused because I didn't fill the sides/bottom of the 32B cups. Obviously, that's not the right size for me at all, but concerns other women have expressed about being shallow don't resonate that much with me.
Oy 28E! Perhaps I am measuring wrong...

Well I've certainly seen much shallower! Not filling sides/bottom can mean many things. Start with a better band size and take it from there :-)

Will report back! Thanks for your help. :)

helpfulRemember, the cups are proportional to the bands, so a 32b has about the same cup as a 30C or a 28D
I'm not familiar with your size range, hopefully someone else can come give better advice

helpful28 band bras are a lot harder to find, so if you're cool with 30 band bras, Betsey Johnson Stocking Stripe in 30C might work. That or the Gossard Superboost Satin Plunge.

I tried the Stocking Stripe in a 30C today -- both the band and the cups were too big, though a BJ 30C t-shirt bra fit way smaller on both accounts. I will look into the Gossard, thank you!

helpfulThe newer calculators put me anywhere from 28DD, 28D, 30C all of which was originally very surprising. If you are looking for a moulded/t-shirt bra, Bratabase may have good recommendations based on your measurments. I know the Freya Deco Moulded Plunge Bra (4234) is popular. I am trying my luck with various unlined bras and have recently had success with the Panache Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675). Good luck with your search!
