Betsey Johnson Intimates » Lace Balconette Underwire (723858) » 32DD 32:5
Issue resolved
Fits great, however on the second day of wear I noticed it got quite itchy. Just washed it hoping it will soften it up. Also tried some other Betseys in the same size and they vary a lot between models and other the same size in another cut didn't fit at all or had an even tighter band.
Original problem
I have no issues with this bra I get a very small gap near the gore on my smaller breast, but it's very subtle. I think this may be my first properly fitting bra. It's amazing to have underwire that doesn't get pushed down and stays at the IMF this has been a huge issue for me. I initially thought going to a smaller band would help, but it didn't much in the first 32DD (Victoria's Secret) I got because the band runs large and the straps don't adjust tight enough. This Betsey Johnson bra seems perfect for me. So how did I do? Still awaiting some online orders of other bras to come in too

helpfulIt looks quite decent from the photos! Looks like you did well!
You should perhaps double check the cup depth measurement though because 7.5" seems uncommonly small for a 32DD. It's also surprising that you could get 8.5" of boob in there as well

I take the cup and lay it over my knee, even if it's molded or padded. I find that more accurate than trying to just curl the tape measure in there along the inside of the cup. So I'll hold the tape measure at the side of the inside of the cup with one thumb, then tuck the tape measure into the cup along the curve of it and lay the whole mess over my knee so my knee keeps the cup from collapsing or wrinkling at all. Then I'll just adjust the tape measure to make sure it's crossing the deepest part of the cup, use my other thumb to hold the other end in place and then pick it up and read the # my thumb is on. I hope that makes sense because it's kinda hard to describe lol

lcl0706 Just tried your method with my Cleo Maddie (molded) and I got about 1 cm more measuring outside the cup than when I measured inside. Would not recommend this method, because adding 1cm in cup depth will give a totally wrong impression of the actual cup size of that bra and significantly skew its measurements, making it appear way larger and deeper than it really is.
With unpadded bras, the 'knee method' is fine, though.

Oh I still measure inside the cup, not outside the cup!!

Oops I got confused by that explanation. Nevermind :)

yeah, many measurements are very difficult to do consistently nevermind the fact that many different people are taking them. That's why i look at the measurements with a giant grain of salt.

I will double check it, that's one area I have a hard time measuring on the bra.
