Bra fitting help » Does skin wrinkling make this a bad bra?

Issue resolved
Realized bra is most likely too small and the skin on the side is actually breast tissue spilling out.
Original problem
I love this bra and it's the only one I've found that cup my breasts and don't wrinkle at the top. But there's this weird little wrinkle of skin between my armpit and the bra strap. I also measure as a 30DD but this bra is a 30C (I've read that shallow breasted women shold try a smaller cup size). Is this normal and should I consider this bra a good fit? Should I keep looking for a better bra? I've been buying and returning bras with amazon for over a month and it's frustrating trying to find one that doesn't have a lot of gaping at the top. Any help is appreciated.

helpfulWhere did you read that shallow-breasted women should try a cup size that is too small for their breast volume? Whoever said that ought to be flogged with a 34A bra from Wal-Mart. If your boobs are wide and shallow you need a bra cup that is wide and shallow. Not one that is too small for you. I agree with dbmamaz that this only contains a tiny part of your breast tissue. The reason you get gaping with a lot of bras is that you look to be side-heavy whereas they offer more volume at the center near the gore. It does not mean that those bras are too big per se. Look for bras that are shallow near the gore and offer lots of room on the sides.
I can't see a whole lot from the photos beyond that, but just generally and even if you have underestimated the cup depth, I am very much in doubt that a bra with cups you measured at 5.7" deep is going to be a decent fit on a person with boobs that are 9.3" around. IMO your side tissue is going to be painful and possibly spilling out after a short while. The wrinkle you see under your armpit is your breast tissue that is extending to the side of your torso (this is not "bad" or caused by ill fitting bras, but normal female anatomy BTW) and that is not supported by this bra at all.
Many women with shallow boobs have a breast root with a sort of "V" shape that makes it hard to find underwires that work--if this is you, you need either soft wires that angle way out towards your back when the bra is worn, or no wires at all.

Definitely UK size, if you were here on this site.
Glad that source said do not go to a smaller size. I was concerned who would watch my kids if I had to go beat up the culprit ;-)

helpfulPersonally I think a little wrinkling in the armpit doesnt mean anything. If this bra feels good on your boobs and is comfortable for you, that sounds like a win. The variation between your perimeters is huge - I'm not sure what that means. I mean, 5.3 vertical but the others are over 9? Most people, these 3 measurements are quite similar, so i'm not sure what that means. Except maybe that a lot of your breast tissue looks (to me) to be tall/shallow? Like most of the volume is very gradual slope upward from the peak of your breasts, but that tissue doesnt need to be covered - if this makes any sense. this seems to fit you more like a demi, but it looks secure and supportive and like it covers what needs to be covered.
so i think this works?

Thank you very much! I'll try and find where I found that smaller cup statement cause I only get my into from here and reddit, lol.
I've been wearing in since yesterday and so far no pain. HOWEVER you are so right when you say the measurements of my breast just don't match this bra. Some spillage is occurring and I'm going to keep looking.
*Edit: so I just realized I've been reading wrong and it said "it DOES NOT mean you have to go a smaller cup size" I'm an idiot, haha.
One more question maybe you can answer for me: It gave me the reference size as 30E-30F. Is that US size or UK size?
