Bra fitting help » Does this bra fit okay? Have to S&S twice wrinkling and/or cutting
Freya » Arabella Plunge Balcony Bra (5721) » 28E 28:6
Issue resolved
The bra fits fine.
Original problem
Sorry if the title sounds funny, but it really want to know fit he fit is okay.
When I first put they ra on and S&S, I have a hair of space above the upper seam where the bottom of the cup meets the top of the cup. BUT when I S&S a second time, making sure to get my 'underarm "fat" ', it cuts in the tissue and makes me feel like it's too small. But I wouldn't say I'd need a 28F.
Pics 2-6 show after the first S&S, 1, 7-9 show the second S&S. Picture #5 shows the gapping.

helpfulI don't think this is too bad on you. It looks like you have the "freya pucker" at first - like the tops of the cups don't actually gap, but from the diagonal seam to the top of the cup there's a pucker. This fits you kinda like the Enchanted did me in a 28FF only to a lesser degree, which is a bummer for me because I think this is hands down Freya's most beautiful bra and wanted to try it someday, but the Enchanted was a total no go on me and this probably would be too. The pucker in that top section was unworkable for me. Anyways, I digress. I think the wires are ok - Freya uses pretty flexible wires that tend to open up quite a bit when you fasten the bra - and the immediate projection looks good. I wouldn't tell you to size up, I think this is a slight shape mismatch and I wish Freya would stop making bras like this, where the top lace section is so darned closed off when compared to the rest of the cup, because I can't think of many shapes that would get along with that. But like I said, the amount of puckering/cutting in is fairly small, probably doesn't show through a shirt, and the fit is otherwise good enough that if you like it, it's probably worth keeping.

Ugh. Lol I have the 'freya pucker' on all my Freyas except the ignite and the pansy. But I think the pansy may be a hair too small, because I have in cup quadding on my bigger boob. But most of my other freya bras are 30dd

helpfulAre you scooping and swooping actual armpit fat in to the cups? Because generally that doesn't need to be in there. It looks to me like the bra is a tiny bit more projected than you are and maybe a tad more full on bottom. I could be off on that though. I think the fit looks fairly good overall. I think the Ignite you have in 28E is a tad better though. How are the wires on the Arabella for you? How does the bra wear over the course of a day?

I haven't actually worn the bra yet.
It's not really armpit fat, because I don't have any fat, lol. I guess it's side boob. When I do the second S&S and wear the bra, it doesn't move, so I think it belongs in the bra.
When I first put the bra on, before clasping it, I almost thought it was going to be too narrow.

helpfulIt's a classic Freya plunge balconette - full on bottom, narrow and projected. The lighting isn't clear but I'd say the wires are probably a fraction narrow and you're getting cutting in because your root is too tall. I would look to more even shaped cups - see if Cleo Lily is little wider in your size, and narrow half cups might be your friend if lily is too closed off. It's about finding out if the issue is the volume of tissue above your nipple which makes you more even or FOT than Arabella or if you have a taller root which will prefer a very open topped cup.

helpfulI remember reading somewhere that sometimes, due to sewing error or angry full moon in place, in this particular model the ribbon at the upper edge of the cup (brown one in your case) is a culprit responsible for cutting into tissues and feeling-too-small issues. And that removing or easing the ribbon improves the overal fit. It's hard to tell on photos but it could be not too hard to check with your fingers whether it's the whole upper part of the cup's fabric or just the ribbon that might be too tight. But in general it does't look as bad fit for me, so I'd rely on your comfort level and your shape (aestetics) preferences, if Arabella's fate in your closet hangs in balance.

Enchanted is actually a different shape than Arabella, so it might be worth trying. I think Arabella is actually more closed off though, so maybe not.
