Issue resolved
It seems that this bra and the ladies here have helped me start my bra hunting. The bra is not perfect but it will work for now. I am still at a loss as to the bra I need but since there is a wealth of information here as well as on ABTF, I don't think there is any way I'll be going without one for long.
I did find out my perimeters were incorrect so I remeasured those and entered them so that I wasn't confusing anyone or myself. Now I just hope they don't change anytime soon!
Original problem
This is my first bra in my new size sincelosing weight. I have tried 32 bands in Panache and Freya but only in stores that dont have the stock to go up to what I need. This bra seems to fit at first but I find my breast tissue and skin is pinched by the stays, the wires kill my sternum and I just want to yank it off by the end of the wear. I can tell my breast tissue is wrinkled in the cup but I do have soft breasts.

helpfulTango is a WEIRD fit on a lot of people. When it works, it works great, but for many people it is just a wildly incompatible shape. It has lower projection but the very defined cup apex is too low for many people and the slant of the upper cup is also wrong for lots of boob shapes. You should see how it looks on me, every time I've tried it it was so ridiculous I was in fits of giggles! I think unfortunately you just need to try a different bra model altogether. How about the Jasmine, if you like Panache?

Are you in the United States? Amazon has free returns and exchanges if you are careful to select only the Amazon Prime items, which makes it possible to go through the trial and error process without wasting any money. They don't even charge for return shipping :-)

Also, I have recently been wearing the Fantasie Jacqueline almost non-stop. I love it! The wires are not painful like Panache brand wires.

I am in the US I just have to make the commitment to actually ordering one or two. I loathe ordering anything online when I don't know if it might not work. At least with Amazon it will be quick. :)

Yes, I also prefer ye olde bra shoppe and trying things on, but it's HARD to argue with 2-day free shipping, free returns etc.
Also I hate having to return things that a flesh and blood sales assistant has taken the trouble to help me with (I'm a Gorgon so I won't let them help me unless they are nice and know their stuff, ergo I feel they deserve consideration from me as well). With Amazon I don't feel bad!

32J - Panache » Floris Balconnet Bra (7311) my closest shop, which actually does have a few 32Js, does not accept returns at all. So . . i dont really go there. I got my extenders there . . .
Envy works ok for me. It took the longest to break in / stop killing my ribs beneath my boobs. and its not as oomph a shape as I get out of my floris (I'm most of the 32Js)

Thank you guys for the confirmation on everything guys. I will do what I need to on this. I will still be bugged by it not fitting not quite right but I am still on my holy grail quest. Good luck, right?

helpfulPanache wires are the firmest I've tried. I like them because they hold me up higher (as a 32J), but they seem to take a coupla months to wear in. During the break-in period I tend to bend the wires to be more comfy for me.
That one pic looks like the bottom of the cup isnt quite filled and the top is cutting in? which could mean a shape problem. I havent tried this because the closed top would likely cut in for me too. My best Panache is the floris,
i'm not sure exactly what 'pinched by the stays' means - its not a term people generally use here and my imagination is failing me.
I'm mentioned the fantasie jana a few times as my comfiest bra, but not particularly supportive for me (i didnt keep it). But i'm not entirely sure you dont need more . . width? than I do? your breasts might be wider apart than mine?

Your comments definitely are helping me. I don't know if the firmness of the wires are bothering me but the length might be as well as the width and height. I do find each day I wear it, I get used to it/it is breaking in. I wore an extender yesterday to get used to the difference in band length but now I don't need it.
I don't know what picture shows that I'm not filled in all the way at the bottom (and I don't want to lose what I have written 0.0) but I can feel with my hand that they are both completely in the cups in the bottom. I am up for trying other styles and shapes, I just need a direction if anyone can help. :)
As for the stays, I mean that hard plastic piece the height of the band designers sometimes put in the wing to keep the band from rolling and to offer more support. If you re short waisted or petite (or both), they are quite bothersome. I have cut some out of my bras because they are so irritating. Why I didn't notice this when I bought this, I don't know.
I'll look into Fantasie. I have tried a few on in a sister size but Iwould have to order them, which is fine. They were either too big or too small so I'll have to punt on size. And yes, I do have a lot of breast tissue but it is mostly long (pendulous?). This bra tends to make me look half the size I am and twice as wide which is generally why I don't do minimizing bras.

Ok, i think i get teh stays part! I dont think I have any of those?
I also notice your various perimeters are VERY different from each other. Even moreso than mine. Mine are 15/14/13 and 14 inch depth seems good for me, at least in fairly full coverage bras - which is what works best for me. But cup depth is supposed ot somewhat match perimeters . . . but at least if you find a bra that really fits, that cup depth is a good starting place.
-
Omg, thank you for noticing the perimeters! I had measured myself so much in 1 day that I think I was going a little off the deep end. It looks like I need to remeasure my vertical and laying. I'm thinking something got mixed up somewhere.

Thank you for the quick reply! It definitely fits oddly. I found Prima Donna is a no go for me but a Panache Envy is a possibility. Unfortunately, I would have to order it since the store I was at is going out of business, which is the reason I think I didn't really think this one through too carefully. Plus I was rather desperate. I really need to have someone other than my husband to be there with me. Haha
