Bra fitting help » Parfait's Charlotte smaller in peach? Is it *too* small?
Parfait By Affinitas » Charlotte Padded Bra (6901) » 28FF 28:8
Issue resolved
I've learned the fit issue is due to poor quality control, and have ordered another 28FF and 28G to see if they will fit any differently. Thanks to all contributors!
Original problem
I originally had the red Charlotte in the same 28ff, but this peach in the same size fits differently. It almost looks like quad boob, and the center gore is attacking my sternum like crazy. I didn't have either of these problems with the red to this extent. Did anyone else have this problem of inconsistency with the peach? Is it too small for me? I'm afraid the 28g will be too big, what do you ladies think?
(and if anyone can tell my shape I'd love to hear it. I'm pretty lost in that area.)
(p.s. I'm not having any problem with the underwires by my armpit, that 'fit issue' just won't disappear )

helpfulYes it looks too small, and the wires look to be a bit too wide for you, and the gore looks too wide as well. I'd say your shape is fairly projected, even to FOT fullness. FWIW, Parfait is horribly inconsistent in their sizing from color to color even in the same models of bras. It's hard to tell if a 28G would be better for you, it depends on which version of 28G Parfait sends haha.

Well as the knowledgeable wendybien taught me, shape can only really be accurately determined when wearing a reasonably well fitted bra. In this bra, you look to be more FOT than FOB, and not particularly wide or side heavy.
Without a bra, I'm allll FOB and side boob for days. Like, nada above my nipples. But when I pick those babies up and put them into a bra, I am still wide rooted but more evenly full than I previously thought I was. I'd still say I lean even-to-FOB, but it's not nearly as drastic as without a bra on.
I only say the wires look to be too wide because of pic #2, where there appears to be wrinkling on the side of the cup and that could suggest empty fabric there.

Ohh I understand! That makes much sense, thank you for explaining to me! That wrinkling there is actually the slide sling on top of the cup, not the cup itself, so it fortunately doesn't cause any problems. Thanks so much!

helpfulBased on your measurements and pics, a 30FF/G would be a better fit. your laying breast perimeter is larger than the cup, so that suggests not all your tissue is being encapsulated by the bra. The band also looks very tight based on the pics and your ribcage measurement versus stretched band Measurement.
with all that said, the gore may be too wide for you.

The band is definitely not too tight; when I have anything less supportive than the very snug 28 all of the support comes from the straps and weighs down on my shoulders. (I also just rather appreciate the very snug band :) ) I do see what you're saying about the laying breast perimeter, and I have ordered a couple more bras in different sizes to fix this problem. gore definitely could be narrower as well, but I don't think it's the source of the sternum stabbage because I've had another of the exact same bra that didn't give me that problem. Thank you so much for your feedback! :)

Do you think you may need to remeasure yourself then? your tight measurement is smaller than the stretched measurement of the bra., so either bra measurement or your measurements are off.
Happy searching!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I don't think the wires are too wide, because when compared with the red Charlotte I've been wearing for 8 mo. I see I've stretched out those wires much, much farther than it apparently was originally. I tend to do a pretty drastic s&s so it's nice to have the sling and such pretty high under my arms. I agree gore is a little wide but not enough to bother me. :) (I also am only 5 feet tall so everything is bound to be high on me, haha)
Without a bra, my boobies are actually pretty flat from the chest down to my areola, but I also wouldn't be able to pass the pencil test standing up straight, so I'm thinking I might be more side-heavy? who even knows. :p
Ahh I was afraid of as much. I may order another in the same size as well as a 28G and compare. Thank you so much!!
