Bra fitting help » not quite the right fit ... depth or other issue?

Issue resolved
Decided it was a cut issue
Original problem
I don't think it is necessarily evident in these pictures but after wearing the bra an hour or so there is a finger width of space at the bottom of the cup and after taking off the bra the light lines seem to sit low compared to my tissue. Also even though the band is quite firm, I wouldn't want a tigher band, I get decent indentations on my shoulders... and the gore pokes ... and suggestions where to go from here? Am I underestimating the projection I need from a bra or am I off on the wrong tangent?

helpfulYes, the wires sitting too low, underneath your IMF, suggest the bra is too shallow at the bottom for you. You are correct in that you need a bra with more projection. I've read many times that Comexim and EM are good for that, but hopefully someone else will chime in with specific bra suggestions!

helpfulNo, you're right that depth is a red herring here. The cups are actually too big. You can tell because you have extra space on the bottom, top, AND sides. Also the fact that you've felt the need to tighten the straps so much they leave indentations on your shoulders is another giveaway that the cup is too big. When it's too big, you don't get any lift, so you compensate by tightening the straps. I think Avocado could fit you beautifully in 70E -- the band looks really tight and also you say it's tight, and it will feel tighter when you go down to the right cup; plus my experience with Avocado as with many other Polish brands is that they fit one band small.

thanks for the suggestion :) With Kris Line and Samanta I need a 65 band but I haven't tried any of the other polish brands

I will try with an extender and loosening the straps and take another couple pictures

It fits you a lot like it fit me. :'( That empty space at the bottom and at the sides, UGHHH! For me, the H-cut was really painful (the gore comes up a lot higher in the H), but since you're probably less vertically challenged, it might end up working for you.

I agree with melifish that the cups are too big and the band far too small. The band actually rides down quite a bit (unless the pic was taken at an odd angle).

I think the picture is just at an odd angle. I also pretty much always get indentations even with the straps relatively loose. I think I'm quite low set and i think the girls are denser than they look. I tried the extender but I didn't feel better in the bra :( it's so pretty too so it feels like such a shame!

helpfulYeah, I think you're spot on with the guess that this bra doesn't have enough bottom projection for you. Don't write off Avocado completely, though--this brand has a variety of different constructions which fit different shapes, and some are deeper than others. Miss Underpinnings has a really good guide explaining the different Avocado fits here: http://www.missunderpinnings.com/2013/11/the-guide-to-avocados-constructions-fit.html

thanks! I would hate to write them off since the bras are so pretty. After reading that maybe I should try their H shape since Cleo and I get along

I saw a new brown nude coming our that looks beautiful!

thanks. I had read I thought that the polish brands in general were deeper. I think all the reading might have gone to my head and made me forget everything ....lol
